• TIGHT TITLE FIGHT HEADS TO ROAD AMERICA: Scott Dixon has yet to win a race in 2017, but his consistency has helped him build up 13-point advantage over reigning series champion Simon Pagenaud in the Verizon IndyCar Series point standings. Only 40 points separate Dixon from fi fth-placed Will Power entering the KOHLER Grand Prix. Who will take control of the 2017 title race with a strong performance at Road America?
• RAHAL HOPES TO MAINTAIN MOMENTUM: With top-four fi nishes in his last three races, Graham Rahal returns to a place that’s been very good to him riding a wave of momentum. Rahal has fi nished on the podium in his two previous starts at Road America, including a third last year. Can he record another podium fi nish again this weekend?
• NEED A FANTASY DARKHORSE? TRY DALE COYNE RACING: Dale Coyne Racing has never won at Road America, but the Plainfi eld, Illinois-based team could be a top runner in what is like the team’s home race. Several members of the team have winning experience at Road America’s fast, fl owing 4.048-mile road course, with Newman/Haas Racing, which won 10 times at America’s National Park of Speed. Could that experience pay off for Coyne’s drivers?
WHAT TO WATCH FOR THIS WEEKEND:
Will Power, who claimed his second win of 2017 at Texas Motor Speedway on June 10, won the KOHLER Grand Prix in 2016. Can he become the fi rst back-to-back Indy car winner at Road America since Jacques Villeneuve won in 1994-1995?
