    Matthew McGarveyManaging Director

    Matthew has lived and worked throughout Asia since 1998 as a business operator

    and as a corporate and financial adviser. Matthew has specialized in launching,

    strengthening and growing businesses in emerging markets, based upon bestbusiness practices, integrity and sustainability. Prior to launching Forbes, Matthew

    worked at PricewaterhouseCooperss Corporate Finance team in Beijing where he

    worked with Chinese corporates in developing and executing their overseas strategy.

    In 2002, Matthew built one of the first wholly owned foreign enterprises in Tibet,

    which he grew, managed and transferred to local management. Prior to 2002,

    Matthew was senior manager at International Data Corporation in Hong Kong and

    Beijing, where he covered the Internet and eCommerce market throughout Asia.

    Matthew is a graduate of the MIT Sloan School of Management, is a US national and

    speaks Mandarin Chinese.

    Lan Anh NguyenExecutive Editor

    Lan Anh has been covering Southeast Asian businesses and business leaders for

    Forbes since 2007. She has also worked closely on the compiling of Forbes Wealth

    List. From 2007 until 2012 she worked as a senior business writer at Saigon Tiep Thi

    Newspaper, where she wrote regular columns on business and economics.

    Lan Anh worked in Bangkok, Thailand from 2005 - 2007, covering business and

    politics for ThaiDay, a daily insert into the International Herald Tribune in Thailand.

    Her works have also appeared in international newspapers including the Financial

    Times and The New York Times.

    She was awarded a Fulbright scholarship in 2003 to pursue a graduate program at

    Boston University. She graduated in May 2005 with a master degree in business

    and economics journalism. She won a Mark of Excellence Award from the US

    Society of Professional Journalists in 2005.
