ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE ACADEMIC SESSION 2017-18 (TILL 26.10.2017)

1. The Vidyalaya stood first in at the Regional level in the Youth Parliament competition. It also secured second position at the Zonal level competition held at KV, Madurai.

2. The Vidyalaya won the 3rd prize in the district for its charitable activities. The award was presented by Mathrabhumi as part of its NANMA programme.

4. The Vidyalaya secured 1 st position in the cluster level KVS Social Science Exhibition cum National Integration Camp held at K V Malappuram. The team secured 3 rd position at the Regional Level.

5. The Vidyalaya secured 100% result in AISSE, 2016-17, with 41 students securing all A1 and AISSCE 2016-17 - 99.22 % Pass with PI 80.45!!

7. Master. Sidharth R topped in commerce stream with 483 (96.60 %) in Class XII AISSCE 16-17. He secured 4th position in KVS Ernakulam region 

8. Shri. Viswanathan, PGT English, and Smt. Muthulakshmi, PGT Biology, won the P K Das Memorial Award for the year 2016-17.

9. Shri. Viswanathan, PGT English, presented a paper at the International ELTAI held in Cochin.

10. Smt. Ajitha, PRT, won a merit certificate from ZIET on successfully presenting her project based on Maths Lab Activity.

13. Anirudh Rajeev of III A was declared the youngest in the district to win international rating.

14. Lakshmi V Sreejith of IX D won the Naatya Krithika Trophy for her outstanding Kuchipudi performance in the Indian Classical Dance Festival, 2017, organised by Sathyabhama Nrithyolsavam group at Vishakapatnam.

15. 28 students of the Vidyalaya took part in the South Zone Inter School Competition (Esistenza) organised by the Nehru Group of Institutions. Master. Anupam Dev and Master. Sajith, of X A, won the 1st prize in the Physical Science Exhibition and were awarded Rs. 5000/- and certificates.

16. 3 students took part in the Indian School Debating Society Competition at KV Port Trust, Kochi. Master Sreenivas and Kumari Aneeta of IX D qualified for National Level competition.

18. Miss. Aleena James of VII B, won a Samsung Galaxy Tab by participating in the Mathrabhoomi Vidya Programme initiated by the newspaper group statewide.

19. Kumari Praseedha and Kumari Alka Merin of class XII C won the first and second prize at the quiz competiton held by the DISA Institution for Management for commerce students of Palakkad District.

20. Sidharth Rajiv of V A won a prize at the District Level Chess tournament organised by the Palakkad District Chess Association.

21. Adithya Ashok and Nevil won 1st prize at the district level philately quiz conducted by the postal department. Master. They secured 2nd prize at the Regional Level philately quiz held at Calicut.

22. Kumari Lakshmi V Sreejith participated in the Swaralaya Dancefest and received a certificate for the same.

21. NSO Merit Certificate Winners-Master. Nevil of class IX secured zonal rank of 17 in Maths Olympiad and Abhinand Ram of class V gets zonal rank of 4 in Sports Olympiad.

23. The Vidyalaya maintained a high level of achievement in the field of sports at the Regional and National level. The Vidyalaya secured 1st position in the Cricket Under 19 and Volleyball under 19 for boys ,2nd position in the Boys Handball Under 19, Girls Handball Under 29, Girls Handball Under 14, Kabbadi Boys Under 19, and 3rd position in Handball under 14 for boys. We also won 2 silver medal and 1 bronze medal for Skating under 14, 1 bronze medal for Skating under 17, 1 bronze for Badminton under 19 and 1 gold for Chess under 14. In athletics, Boys won 1 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze in under 19, 7 gold and 1 silver in under 17, 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze in under 14. Gilrs won 5 gold medal and 1 bronze in under 17 and 5 gold in under 14. At the National level, we won 1 silver in Badminton under 19 (girls), 1 silver in Chess Under 14 (boys), 1 silver and 1 bronze in athletics under 17 (girls) and 1 silver in girls under 14.
