1. Circle this week’s sight words in the story.(learn, page, study)

2. Underline words with long o, spelled ow. (bellows, blowing, glowing, low, row, shows, snow, snowing, snows, Stow, stows, window)

Jill and Jim are in the same class. They sit in the same row. Jim stows paper and pens in his desk. Jill stows snacks and gum in hers. Jill and Jim need to study for the spelling test. Miss Stow shows them what to study on page ten. Jill hopes that it will snow. She does not want to take the spelling test. “I will get a low grade if we have a test!” moans Jill. Jim does not want it to snow. He likes to learn spelling. He thinks he will get a good grade on the test. “I’ll help you study, Jill. It’ll be fun,” claims Jim. “Look! It’s snowing!” bellows Jill. “The snow is blowing on the window.” Jill is glowing. She hopes the class will skip the test. “You still need to learn page ten,” states Miss Stow. “We will have the test even if it rains or sleets or snows.” The class groans and opens to page ten to study.

3. Read the Phonics Reader. Leveled Readers are on our Class Webpage for more challenge.

4. On Monday, tell someone about what you read.5. In the boxes, write down how many minutes/seconds it took you to read the story. Try to beat your

time each day to build fluency.
