    The VIDEO BIOS or FIRMWARE

    instructions so that computer hardware

    and software can interact with card.

    It contains information on memory

    timing, voltage of graphics processor andRAM, operating speed and other

    information.

    Like our motherboard BIOS, it is

    possible to change VIDEO BIOS of our

    graphics card, but it is recommended thatit should be done under experts

    supervision, since changing VIDEO BIOS

    may improve your graphics cards graphics

    performance.

    connects graphics card with

    motherboard system.

    Although there are many connection

    system since 1974.Nowdays AGP and

    PCI-Express slot are most widely used

    connection system.

    5. Cooling Devices:

    Graphics card uses lot of electricity

    which is converted into heat. If heat

    isnt dissipated then card could get

    overheated and get damaged. Cooling

    devices are incorporated to transfer

    heat elsewhere.

    5. DisplayPort : DisplayPort is a digital display interfacedeveloped by the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA).The interface is primarily used to connect a video source to a

    display device such as a computer monitor, though it can also beused to transmit audio, USB, and other forms of data. VESAdesigned it to replace VGA, DVI, and FPD-Link. Backwardcompatibility to VGA and DVI by using active adapter donglesenables users to use DisplayPort fitted video sources withoutreplacing existing display devices.DisplayPort ports can be made so that they are compatible with

    Usually GPUs have many Cores unlike CPUs. CPUs has few but powerfulcores (2, 4 etc) and GPUs has Hundreds of less powerful cores. This makes

    certain operations are more efficient in GPUs than in CPUs.(CPUs better for Scalar operations, GPUs better for Vector operations)

    Typical Core i5 CPUs has 2 or 4 cores
