Current progress on the Nyngan Solar Plant:
› Project on track for completion in June 2015
› Solar Plant launch on Wednesday, 30 July 2014
› Ten times bigger than the current largest solar PV plant in Australia.

Current progress on the Nyngan Solar Plant connection:
› Connection works are mechanically complete.» 132kV transmission line (Essential Energy)» 132kV Switchyard (Essential Energy» 132kV Substation (AGL)
› Energisation of the 132kV transmission line has been moved from 2 Aug 2014 to 30 Aug 2014
› Interface works with First Solar’s 33kV Switchyard are progressing 132/33kV transformer energisation
› Communication works in the Nyngan 66kV (town) substation).

Current progress on the Nyngan Solar Plant
› 40,000 of the 140,000 steel posts have been installed
› 19,000 of the 140,000 tilt brackets have been installed
› Table installation underway
› 250,000 of the 1,350,000 panels have been delivered
› 18 of the 77 PCS (Power Conversion Station) units and 1 of the 4 PVCS (Photovoltaic Combiner Switchgear) units have been delivered
› Operations and maintenance buildings have been installed
› Table installation has commenced
› Electrical work underway – underground cabling and combiner boxes
