Infrared provides an excellent means of evaluating temperature of foods during the cooking process. Enabling 100% inspection of goods throughout the process.

IR for Quality Control

A wide view of a substation can quickly show areas where unwanted high resistance connections exist. This can be automated with FLIR’s A320 camera system.

Substation Monitoring

Temperature measurement for closed loop process control is one of the most sought after process variables. Infrared cameras enable controls engineers to gather real-time non-contact temperature measurement for their process.

IR for Process Control

Warehouse monitoring is cost effective with FLIR cameras. FLIR solutions help you spot temperature differences across wide areas so you can protect valuable assets. Configuration is easy because FLIR systems are compatible with PLCs, fire systems, PCs, and networks.

Warehouse Monitoring, Safety, Asset Management

In many industrial operations, smoke, steam, fog and darkness can obscure normal vision making it nearly impossible for workers to monitor operations – leading to system breakdown and hazardous conditions. Infrared enables workers to clearly see operations – keeping production safely on-line.

Enhance Operations and Safety

Your Search for Solutions Begins HereMore and more, system integrators are using infrared to complement – or in some cases replace – visible cameras to solve tough engineering problems.

Almost all challenges have a thermal dynamic component that shows up easily with an infrared camera.

Steel mill operators can use thermography to predict the number of times equipment, like iron ladles for instance, can be safely reused before needing to be rebricked – reducing the possibility of molten metal breaking through – damaging surrounding equipment.

Decrease Maintenance Costs and Downtime

The Industry Standard Thermal Imaging Camera Core: For Applications Where Reliability and Performance Are PrioritiesFLIR’s Photon delivers outstanding sensitivity and image quality. The on-focal-plane circuitry, combined with FLIR’s advanced signal processing electronics, enables the camera to maintain excellent dynamic range and image uniformity over a wide temperature range.

Integrators have embedded tens of thousands of Photon cores in a myriad of applications including automotive night vision systems, firefighting equipment, unmanned vehicle payloads, weapon sights, low-power security and surveillance products, and more.

Photon OEM Accessory KitFor evaluation purposes, FLIR offers an optional OEM Accessory Kit that enables customers to operate a Photon until they develop their own interface. The Kit contains a power supply, breakout box (called an I/O Module), an interface cable, and a small adapter circuit (called a Wearsaver) that attaches between the camera connector and interface cable.

The Accessory Kit also includes a rear cover that encloses the Wearsaver adapter and provides for secure connection to the interface cable. The end-user only needs to provide a video cable and monitor, and an RS-232 cable if remote control of the Photon is desired.

Enhance worker safety Avoid breakdowns Minimize production lossWe know where the risk areas are in our production process. We also know which assets are the most critical to production continuity. The difficulty is that we never know exactly where or when a problem might occur, see it with the naked eye, or quantify its severity. For certain industries this ability is vital. In oil and gas production and power generation or distribution there is a fundamental need to prevent and detect fires fast and automatically. Similarly the integrity of critical vessels and infrastructure has to be monitored to avoid costly downtime and ensure on-site safety.

The new and compact A320 from FLIR Systems meets all these needs with ease. This latest generation of fixed thermal cameras can be installed discretely and almost anywhere to monitor your business. It will keep an infrared eye of your production process, safeguard plant and assets and measure temperature differences so that the criticality of the situation may be assessed.

This advanced infrared camera will allow you to see problems before they become costly failures, preventing downtime and enhancing worker safety.

Unsurpassed functionalityThe A320 infrared camera breaks new ground on many fronts and comes with an impressive array of key features. For example, Power over Ethernet – an industry first – MPEg-4 streamed video, built-in and extensive analysis functionality and automatic messaging via e-mail.

Extensive, built-in analysis functionality There are a number of other significant ‘firsts’ in the A320. It is for example the first ever fixed mounted thermal imaging camera with the ability to send analysis results, IR images and radiometric data via e-mail both on schedule or when triggered by an alarm. Another ground-breaking feature is the option of image masking functionality, enabling you to pre-select only the interesting area you want to analyze.

Multi camera software As with all FLIR Systems’ cameras the A320 comes with advanced and dedicated software that meets the analysis needs of a wide range of applications. IP Configuration Utility and IR Monitor – that supports up to nine cameras running simultaneously – allow the production of an image within minutes of installations. In combination with the built-in analysis and alarm function this software is the perfect tool for your set up.

Keeping a constant infrared eye on production qualityProduction engineers and technicians are faced by the demand for higher production output at a constant quality and at lower cost.

The new FLIR™ A325 infrared camera is designed to meet this challenge and to secure consistent production quality levels. It keeps a constant infrared eye on your production process and alerts you to any quality issue that may impair output and interrupt your value chain.

New models, more features, more ease-of-use The A325 version is the first thermal camera to be gigE Vision™ and genICam™ compatible, a feature that significantly cuts down integration time. Until now this capability has only been available on visual cameras. The camera is fully controlled from a PC and comes with a choice of software for easy configuration and monitoring.

The A-Series package is designed to get you up and running quickly and efficiently, allowing you to receive high speed, real time images of your productivity hotspots.

Save time. Reduce cost. Increase efficiencyProblems can occur at any time. In most cases, it will not be possible to see the problem with the naked eye or to quickly spot potentially harmful temperature variations. For many applications, such as the production of parts and components for the automotive or electronics industry, this data is critical.

While machine vision can see a production problem, it can not detect thermal irregularities. Infrared imagery provides much more information to production specialists and decision makers. Indeed, for non-contact precision temperature measurement there is nothing to equal infrared. It adds a new dimension to machine vision and is the perfect solution for applications involving non-contact precision temperature measurement and non-destructive testing.

It can be installed almost anywhere to monitor the efficiency of your production process by detecting and measuring temperature differences.

Choice of software In common with all FLIR Systems’ cameras the new A-Series cameras come with the necessary software to get you started. IP Configuration Utility and IR Monitor allow the production of an image within minutes of installation. For those requiring a degree of low level programming an AXXX control and image interface is included. An optional Systems Development Kit (SDK) for Visual Studio users and a LabVIEW™ toolkit are also available, enabling the functionality of the camera to be optimized for specific needs.
