The television volume is turned up loud in order to overpower the sound of the turbines. The disruption from this noise nuisance is less on the first floor, probably due to tree and shrub barriers, and the background of the washing machine and refrigerator running, as well as music playing. The sound is similar to a washing machine on spin cycle- it is a mechanical, disruptive noise. It is extremely disappointing to see this continue this summer - Hideaway Village is primarily a seasonal community. To travel in summer traffic for a "relaxing weekend" and find your seaside neighborhood under acoustic siege is a testament to the same back-door, concealed negotiations that allowed for this travesty in the first place. As we wait for the results of the shadowy "acoustic test" being run by the accused party FGW- the sounds are impacting folks ability to lead their lives and unlike my family they are not just "weekenders" and have no escape. Increased heart rates, dizziness, nausea, vertigo, exhaustion, heart palpitations, sleep cycle disruption, inability to focus - that's the quality of life for this community today.

This is another double header with the bog pump that has been running for weeks, and the wind turbines. We just had the bog pump shut off, and now the turbine is ramping up.

This afternoon the turbines are in a perfect position to be annoying. There is a moderate southwest wind, so while I was outside enjoying the sunshine, the turbine noise almost blends in with the wind. Still loud, but not strongly defined. But inside the house, the windows seem to screen out the sound of the wind, and the whoosh of the turbines is obnoxious.

This is absolutely unacceptable! We worked today, and arrived home to 'jet plane' like noise from the turbines. How can this not be considered a nuisance? Almost 3 hours later, and it is still obnoxious. The wind is from the southwest, by the way, a direction from which NO sound testing was done from our neighborhood.

When I arrived home from work yesterday afternoon, I was greeted by the whoop of the turbines. This nuisance immediately creates tension for me, which is the opposite of what I want my home to be after a day at work.

This morning at 6:02am, I was awakened by the throbbing and whirring of the turbine closest to me as it geared up for the day. Again, not the way I want to start my day, my day off from work, when perhaps I could sleep in. And the noise continues to distract and annoy me as I work from home. We are enjoying a moderate southwest wind, and the turbine noise is horrible for us. Of course, this is not a wind direction that was ever sound tested in our neighborhood.
