25th Anniversary Gala Date: Friday, October 27, 2017

Location: Warner Center Marriott, 21850 Oxnard St, Woodland Hills, CA 91367

Time: 6:30pm

The Gala is the largest event fundraiser for the Club. The auction, features spectacular live and

silent auctions, and an elegant dinner with 300 business and civic leaders in attendance.

IT’S ALL FOR THE KIDS! Every day, 11.3 million school-aged children are home without adult supervision after school.

The young people in the West San Fernando Valley face the following issues:

Canoga Park High School reported that only 30% of its students were on track to pass all A-G

courses

18.67% of youth in the Woodland Hills area are considered obese and 13.97% in Canoga Park experienced food insecurity at some point during the report year

Only 12% of students in Los Angeles who are low income have access to a state funded after school pro-gram

For 25 years WVBGC has helped and will continue to help all youth especially those from disadvan-

taged circumstances, through positive environment, lifelong learning, and quality programs dedi-

cated to the arts, education, character and leadership development, health and recreation.

WVBGC serves more than 2,700 kids from diverse backgrounds and cultures. WVBGC includes our

main clubhouse in Canoga Park, two elementary schools, one middle school, three high schools,

and the after-school program at Our Lady of Peace.

GOAL/OBJECTIVE: To raise $190,000 through a successful 25th Anniversary Gala to help carry

out the mission of WVBGC………over 100 Silent Items and Incredible Live Items
