This event is the highlight of the summer for our campers and members. This year’s event also includes dental and health screenings with the National Dental Association and Morehouse School of Medicine. The NDA’s day of screening will provide all members and campers with dental gift bags, campers will learn about dental health and careers in medicine and dentistry while eating lunch with dental and medical students. YMCA adult members and seniors will have an opportunity to attend a Question & Answer Town Hall Meeting regarding dental health trends, practices, disease prevention and detection. We look forward to celebrating the end of our summer camp season with you! FOR OUR COMMUNITY Community Outreach in Partnership with the City of Atlanta Young Family YMCA, in partnership with the City of Atlanta Health Unit in the Department of Human Resources, brings awareness to the multiple health and wellness options available through the YMCA to City of Atlanta employees. We’ve been privileged to tell the YMCA story at health fairs at City Hall, Hartsfield International Airport, Civic Center and Grant Park. HEALTHY STARTS HERE Young YMCA Launches First Fridays First Fridays Fellowship, Fun and Fitness is a faith-based health and wellness partnership for area churches. Young Family YMCA on the first Friday of every month with open its doors to the members of area churches in an effort to address high priority public health issues such as obesity, chronic disease, poor dietary practices and sedentary lifestyles. Our goal is to strengthen the bond between the YMCA and our faith-based neighbors to serve as the pillars of health and wellness initiatives in our community. We have partnered with Cascade United Methodist Church and Turner Chapel AME. YMCA members who attend a chuch in the southwest community are welcome to schedule a First Friday's event for their church. International Day at the YMCA: July 7International Day is approaching very fast at summerday camp. This is a time were the various age groups in camp are encouraged to research different countries and the cultures that are specific to thosecountries. The campers will have the opportunity totaste foods from around the world and learn aboutamazing cultures. We are excited about InternationalDay on July 7.

Camp Talent Show: July 21The summer day camp annual talent show will be heldon July 21! This is an exciting event were each of ourgroups ranging from ages 5 to 12 will showcase theirvarious talents. This year’s talent show promises to be even more exciting than previous years. The groupshave been practicing all summer under the direction ofour dance instructor on various dance numbers. Thisevent won’t let you down! See you all at the SummerDay Camp Annual Talent Show!
