Welcome to Family News Well, April has come to an end and it seems only a moment ago that we were compiling the last monthly edition of Family News. I think all will agree with me when I say that April has been a fantastic month in the life of the Church. The weekend away at Cefn Lea was everything we hoped and prayed it would be; a time of fun, relaxation and encounter with Jesus Christ. Mick Walford from Life Point Church in Swansea brought us an encouraging and significant word which has been recorded and we hope will be made available for all to download online in the coming weeks. If you didn’t make it to the weekend away then I strongly encourage you to have a listen to the teaching brought by Mick when it is made available. This month we will see the planting of a new Church in the Home in Monton. This is another exciting development in the Church and a move to see further growth in the Church as we reach out to another area of the city. There are lots of important announcements and encouraging items in this month’s Family News so please do take the time to have a read through. Welcome to Family News

Well, April has come to an end and it seems only a moment ago that we were compiling the last monthly edition of Family News.

Blessings,

David

Life in the Spirit

Tuesday 17th May, 7.30pm

Glenn House (Above Cafe Logos), Montford Street, Salford, M50 2RP We will be fasting together as a church on this day and coming together to pray and commission those who we are planting out to pioneer a church in the home in Monton. No Official Church in the Homes this week.

‘Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weakness, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.’

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

Fasting is...

1. A way to learn how to

completely rely on God more;

it keeps us spiritually hungry

and thirsty!

2. A way to have more time for

prayer and spending time

with God

3. A way to discipline the flesh; it

brings the flesh under the rule

of our spirit.

4. A way to get spiritually

sharper.

5. A way to add urgency to our

prayers and identify.

Have a Wonderful Day! Love from everyone at New Life Church!

A Community of Love & Power

New Church in the Home

Over the last few months, since moving to the Innovation Forum, we have seen a significant number of people added to our church family. As a result we feel it is necessary and good to plant another church in the home to accommodate our increasing numbers. Ellie Shuttleworth and Josh & Becky Channings will be leading the new group in Monton. We will be commissioning them and those who will be going with them at the next Life in the Spirit meeting. Please keep them in your prayers as we so them out to make Jesus famous in Monton.

More details regarding the date and time of the group will follow shortly.

Sunday Meeting Time Change

In order to create more time for set up, preparation and for a smoother transition into the meeting we have

changed our Sunday meeting time to 10.30am.

STEWARDSHIP

A WAY OF LIFE

All stewards will be meeting together on Thursday 12th May,

7.30pm at Hannah Knight’s home for a great time of

fellowship, equipping and prayer. You will be eating together as you encourage one another in your service to the Lord and

open your hearts to grow and mature in Him.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as

a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving”

Colossians 3:23-24

National Day of Prayer & Fasting Saturday 14th May, 10am to 2pm, Living Rock, Stoney Stanton

We had a really significant time praying together in January at our last National Day. We’re believing

that as we pray God will move powerfully by his Spirit in and

through his church.

“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their

sin and heal their land.” (2 Chron. 7:14 ESV)

Parking is limited at the venue and to enable as many to make it as possible we are providing a coach for £5 each. This will be cheaper than travelling in a car. Please book in at the Help Desk.

Congratulations to Kevin & Joanne Hardwidge on the

birth of their second daughter Hannah Faith.

Hannah was born at 9.57pm on 20th April and weighed 6Ib 15oz. All the

family are well!
