MESSAGE FROM ADMINISTRATION:

From the desk of Mr. David Cantu (A.P.):

Special thanks to students, parents, faculty and staff for helping us with our attendance. Keep up the good work Eagles!

Please remember to use total safety when arriving and leaving campus:

Use the proper crosswalks

Use a safe speed, and

No cell phone use while driving.

We would also like to ask our students, parents, faculty, and staff to please help us by completing the SACS Survey found at the bottom of our webpage. The mission of the SACS (the Southern Association of Colleges and School) is the improvement of education in the South through accreditation. Thank you Golden Eagle Family for all your support and dedication. Go Eagles!

From the desk of Margarita Fuentes (A.P.):

Please sign absence from duty the day you return to work.

Sign-in is 8:30 a.m. (latest) and Sign-out is 4:15 p.m. (earliest)

Continue to update our word walls with new vocabulary words

Rooms need to be organized and clean

First period teachers help us with dress code violations

Enforce the “No Cell” phone usage in the classroom.

Showcase your good activities and display students’ work.

Tutorial classes need to increase participation recruit your failing and bubble students.

Your hard work is appreciated….don’t forget to Smile!!! Go Eagles!

Safety First:

Your teens may want to

make plans without having to clear them with you first.

But to keep them safe, you

still need to now where they're going and who they'll

be with. Insist on details,

and give them a curfew. They may scoff, but deep

down they'll know you care.

Kindness is Easy:

Encourage your teenager to

show kindness throughout

the day-she'll feel good about herself and make nice con-

nections with others. For

instance, she could carry the lunch tray for a classmate on

crutches. Or she might give a

quarter to the cashier if the person in front of her comes

up short.

Reasons not to

smoke:

Each day almost 4,000 teens

start smoking. Talk to your

child about why he shouldn't be one of them. Beyond

increasing his risk for can-

cer, smoking can make his teeth yellow and cause bad

breath. Plus, spending mon-

ey on cigarettes means he wouldn't have it for other

things he wants.

From the desk of Juan C. Chavez (Dean of Instruction)

District Benchmark EOC Re-tester (Students should receive passes from 1st Period Teachers)

From the desk of Mrs. Jessica Todd (A.P.):

English Department Reminders:

If you have not already done so please submit your employee acknowledgement form for the BISD Employee Handbook to your department chair.

Please insure that you are posting grades in a timely manner so that parents are able to monitor their child’s progress.

Thank you for all that you do! Hope everyone has a great week
