Summary: This brief summary is for a target evaluation program that took place this past

summer and fail in the lower canyon of Arch Creek, tributary to the Donjeck River. The claims had been staked* grouped and a Water License applied to it throughout

the winter of 2003-2004. Land-use Permit and Water license # PM03-326. Road Work up to the lower claims and camp set-up began the 15& of May through

to the 15ul of June. My excavator had been broken down on and off through to the 20U1 of .July (several incidents). Some hand mining had been conducted during this time period in some areas that were later to be bulk tested. Road building recommenced once the Case 125 B Excavatof was up and rustling July 20J1 from camp right up through the canyon to the hand testing location. Creek diversion channels were built with drop structures, boulder groupings and armoring. Four Instream settling ponds were also built while we were constructing the road. This took a total of 10 days to complete. The following 15 days were spent setting up the shaking deck sluice plant, and fine-tuning it. The cut and intake pump pond were also constructed during this time. By the 15fe of August some bulk testing had begun. Due to suction and pump problems this only lasted a very short time. More hand testing had taken place in and around the selected cut, while waiting for parts. By the 22 n d of August the Bulk tests had recommenced. The sluice plant ran at about 15-30 yrd7hr depending on the material \vc were sluicing. These bulk tests yielded an average of 40 grams of gold / 100 yrds3 sluiced. Based on present gold prices, $18/gram, this worked out to an average of $7,2Q/yrd\ After having sluiced about 500 yrds . we then moved to another spot nearby where a sample of200 yrd3 was taken yielding 165 grams. This gave an average of $14.85 yrd3. More bulk testing took place farther upstream averaging a grand total of $i0.5S/yrd , for 1500 yrds3 sluiced in the canyon.

Several nuggets we had found were in the 7 to 10 gram f ange.

One of my personal highlights on the creek was finding an old nickel dating back to 1901, in our sluice box. It had Queen Victoria's picture on it and was in reasonably good shape. Although there was no sign of shafting in this immediate area, the coin was found near bedrock with approximately 8 feet of overburden on top of it. Not only was the find exciting, but more so the amount of dirt that has naturally moved in the canyon in a little over 100 years was neat to sec.

I am presently negotiating with Tusk Exploration (a very large Placer Exploration and Mining Company) to come and cither lease my ground or buy it outright. This is not yet public knowledge, but I will let you know in another report how it progresses once something is on paper, for your records.

Introduction

The following work program took place on Arch Creek, tributary to the Donjek River, in the Whitehorse Mining District The work took place on 11 grouped placer claims under the Land-use permit and Water License # PM03-326.

The location of the claims P 47298 - P 47306 & P 47310 - P 47311 arc marked on the piacer map # i 15-G-05, with the coordinates of (see Appendix C):

Lat.61°29'30"N Long. 139° 40' 30"W

Arch Creek encompasses a very large drainage area running east to west through two canyons. My claims and water license are in the iower canyon and flood plain just before Arch Creek enters the Donjek River. The claims also include two unnamed tributaries both on the left and right limits. The left limit unnamed tributary is locally known as Porcupine Creek. From Whitehorse to my lowermost claims is 342kms, with the turn-off from the Alaska Highway being at mile 1128, leaving 22kms by four-wheel vehicles or ATVs.

Work Program

Creek History

The history of Arch Creek dates back to its discovery in 1904. Along with creeks like Burwash, Sheep, Bullion and Shorty, there was a mini staking rush. Throughout the next 60 years the ground was worked on and off, with one gold nugget weighing a little over 3 ounces being found in the lower canyon. In the late 50's and early 60's, one of the largest Bulldozers brought to the Yukon (to that date) was worked in Arch Creek. They worked the mouth of the lower canyon (middle of my claims) for two years recording 540 ounces being found. Arch Creek then stayed mostly tied up with the odd bit of ground opening up every once in a while, right up until now. Two other operators also worked the mouth of the canyon and part of the flood plains up until the floods of 19S8, where they lost all of their equipment. A couple of other operators had also tried the lower canyon with one piece of equipment, and only lasted a few days. To date, the Lower canyon had still not been given a true bulk test. It had over 100 years of hand mining and sniping, with little to no documented history. This is where my target evaluation work program would zero in on.

Target Evaluation

My work program was intended to prove (give a dollar value) the lower canyon of Arch Creek and its tributaries, rather than be a "mythical" or "talked about" creek. Arch Creek has always been famous with the locals/old timers as being a creek that produced nuggets and coarse gold, but nobody really knew how many dollars per cubic yard it produced, they were ail guesses.

My Target evaluation included 4 areas of concentration:

a) To test claims in the lower canyon and the base of the lower canyon, finding an actual dollars per cubic yard figure (the most emphasis)

b) To test and find a value for the right limit unnamed tributary which flows into Arch Creek claim #299

c) To test and find a value for the left limit (Porcupine Creek) tributary which flows into Arch Creek claim #300

d) To test a lower bench of Arch Creek to find bedrock and its values.

Target area a):

This section of my work program (highest concentration of work) can be further broken down into two areas:

4

Hand Mining: See attached map for Green "x" in Appendix C.

The hand mining that took place on claim #303, was right where the canyon first opens up into the lower flood plain (sec green "x" on the map). Here the creek is still steep (9% approx.), but not quite as steep as the canyon itself (11% plus). Bedrock also drops off with overburden levels rising from 4-6' to over 12', My theory in testing here was that this was the first chance that the fine gold had to settle since it had been washed through the canyon. My second reasoning for checking here was from curiosity as to how efficient the previous miners were. Using the excavator in conjunction with a suction dredge we tested a couple of spots about 30' apart. Unfortunately this test cannot be given full credit due to the fact that the dredge and sluice runs were not working to their capacity. My findings were that there was some gold left over, and that the area merits a bulk test with a fine gold recovery system. I did not find any coarse goid. Some flakes and flour gold was found. It was not an in depth enough test to give a value to the ground though.

See attached map for Blue "x" in Appendix C

This next part of hand mining took place further up in the canyon on claim #299. Once again two holes were dug. Both holes were dug by hand through about 3' of overburden down to bedrock. Approximately 3-4 cubic yards were sluiced through a long torn in each test. The downstream hole yielded 2 grams of gold, mostly flakes with one nugget weighing 0.6 grams, working out to be $12/yrdJ rough. The upstream hole yielded significantly better mostly due to the fact that wc had found a 2.4 gram nugget. After sluicing 4 cubic yards the final count was 6.6 grams of gold, working out to be $30/yrd3

rough. These two samples merited us building the settling ponds, creek diversions and road for fee next two weeks to set up for a bulk test

Bulk Testing: See attached map for Red "circle" in Appendix C The Pink "ovaP shows where the instrcam settling facilities were located

After two weeks of preparation, the bulk test was finally ready to commence just below the previous hand tests on claim #299. The sluice plant was a 4x8' shaking screen deck. The sluice box was an 85 double run, consisting of 4 Boil Boxes, Hungarian Riffles, and 10H expanded metal. The screen deck screened the bulk material down to l 1 ' " and then the material was further screened down to using punch plate after the boil boxes. Ai l of the sluice layout was according to the Randy Clarkson Reports. The sluice plant was fed by a Case 125B Excavator and water came from a Detroit powered 10 trash pump (It ran at low RPMs). The first cut was approximately 10' deep to bedrock. It was very difficult ground to work in, as some of the boulders were the size of small cars. Nonetheless the first cut was completed after sluicing 500 yrds\ The total average of the ground yielded $7.20/yrd\ The next test was done adjacent to the first slightly upstream. result). The plant was again moved upstream and a further 80Qyrds/3 were sluiced. The total average of all bulk samples in the Arch Creek canyon, was SlO.SS/yrd3. The Gold was very coarse and bright. According to previous tests of Arch Creek gold, the fineness of the gold is 087. Of 100- grams of gold, 40 grams would he 1 gram plus nuggets, 30 grams would be. 1 - 1 gram "mim-nuggets", 20 grams would be 20 mesh

to 10 gram range, with the largest weighing in at 17 grams. I am presently waiting for the return ot our xTd placer geologist to coniinn some or my findings or non-magnetic Platinum. Approximately 10 grams were found throughout the whole bulk-testing period, with one ''"lnim-nugget" weighing 1.1 grams. A lot of copper nuggets were also found, with a consistent direct relationship with the gold as being almost exactly 2 Vs times more in quantity. Some of the copper nuggets weighed up to one ounce. There were very little showings of the fine magnetites, possibly due to the steepness of the canyon, as there is also very little fine gold for the same reason. The total amount of ground sluiced was 1500 yrds3, with 882.1 grams of gold being found, amounting to an average of $10.58/yrdJ in the Arch Creek canyon.

Target area b): See attached map for orange "circle'5 in Appendix C

The right limit unnamed tributary of Arch Creek was my next point of interest. This creek flows from north to south, perpendicular to Arch Creek, onto claim #298. It has it's own little canyon (natural sluice) and is even steeper than Arch Creek itself. Several days of hand testing took place here, while the excavator was broke down. Tests were down right on bedrock at the confluence of the two creeks. This Creek had no running water as a small trickle went underground several hundred feet upstream. We had to pump water up from Arch creek about i00 ! to the sluicing site. Approximately 5 cubic yards were sluiced after removing four feet of overburden. Large rock and boulders were encountered. The dirt was first screened to % 5 and then run through a long torn with expanded metal. The gold was mostly 20 mesh plus flakes averaging $5.40/yrd3. This test result aiso merits a bulk test, to see if the ground remains consistent across the whole channel. This small test result confirmed my original question as to whether or not this creek contributed goid to the Arch Creek flood plain. Unfortunately due to the breakdowns in the early season, time did not permit me to do a bulk test on this creek. Because of the somewhat positive test results I staked a discovery claim and a regular claim on this creek with the hopes of bulk testing it next year if the ground docs not sell this year.

Target area c): See Attached map for purple "x" in Appendix C

I was not able to test the left limit unnamed tributary (Porcupine Creek) as there was no water throughout the whole summer on claim #300. About 1500' upstream of the outermost limit of claim #300, Porcupine Creek went underground. The area to be tested was out of reach for pumping from Arch Creek. A one-mile lease had recently lapsed on

6

Page 9: YEIPExcavator Time Sheet 19 Pump Time Sheet 21 Appendix C Copy of claim sheet with worksites 24 Copy of Current Claim Sheet ——— 2 — 5 Introduction The following work …

Porcupine creek giving me the opportunity to stake five claims up the creek (workable ground). This Creek had been partially mined (center channel) in the early 1980's, but still has a lot of ground that needs to be tested.

Target area d): See the attached map for the pink "x" in Appendix C

If time permitted, my final goal was to test one of the lower benches. On claim #311, using the excavator a large test hole was dug (2000yrds3) going down 20', where ground water was encountered. We took a few pans from the hole right at the water level and found a few colours (very fine) with a lot of black sand. I was hoping to go deeper and possibly find a clay layer, which may hold some pay gravels, but this was not possible due to the ground water encountered. Proper drains would have to be made in order to be able to go deeper to find the various layers and eventually bedrock. Through out the 20' that we had dug, we had encountered creek gravels all of the way down with some small boulders.

Additional Ground Staked:

Throughout the Summer I had staked ground on Arch Creek and tributaries with my crew who later transferred the ground to me. Six claims were added below claim #311 down to the Donjek River, a Discovery claim and a regular claim were added to the right limit unnamed tributary and five regular claims were added to the lift limit unnamed tributary (Porcupine Creek). See the current claim map in Appendix C for the additions (please note that this claim sheet still docs not have all of the additions due to the processing time). I plan to group ail of the claims under the same water license this winter making the ground even more attractive to a buyer.

Budget Summary

A Budget summary had been submitted in August after having completed 8 working days to that date. Sec Appendix A. This budget summary is for the total season including those first 8 days. Please note that there were a significant number of working days out in the field that arc not included in this budget as they were not spent actually preparing the ground or working the ground, due to circumstances such as equipment being broken down or freezing weather.

Conclusion and Recommendations:

The ¥MET program-was able to assist me in f i r^ Creek. 1 was able to do the bulk of my work in the Arch Creek canyon, where I was able to give a dollar value ($10.58/}^) to the ground as an average. This will greatly help me in promoting the ground to other firms as potential buyers or leaser's. I am presently showing the ground to a Vancouver based company, "Tusk Exploration", who are interested in mv claims on Arch Creek (not nfficisl vet). Thanks to this t?rouram I actually have factual evidence to show them. I will let you know once a contract of some sort is signed.

Personal note and «ecommendations:

As ^ final closing statement, I wfH irivemywvn-personai thoughts and feelings, i f somebody were interested in working within the canyon of Arch Creek, I believe it to be very profitable ($T0.5$/yrdJ average) if one were to use heavy equipment and were to sluice at least 30 yrds3/hr. Keep in mind that the terrain is very difficult to work in. confined and very dangerous. Additional Information:

I had been inspected by my Natural Resources Officer 3 times this summer always being in compliance with my Land-use permit and Water License. For your own information, I submitted two bags of my "pay dirt'5 to Kevin Risto. If it interests you to see the results, you can contact him at 667-3156. Niei Wortley of Haines Junction had also inspected me regarding my Land-use Permit for the access road up to my claims from the highway, which was also acceptable, I eieaned up a lot of scrap metal, 45 gal. drums, waste oil and garbage in general from previous miners who were wiped out during the floods of 1988. This added up to several trailer loads being taken out to the Burwash dump. There still remains a iot to be removed, including some older Heavy Equipment.
