Year 3 Plen an Gwary

On Thursday this week Boscawen Class made the long trip to St Just to take part in the Plen an Gwary Cornish Pro-

ject. The Plen an Gwary is a project set up by the Cornish actor and story teller Will Coleman. It was created to en-

able children to celebrate their Cornish heritage through drama, singing, artistic works and more. Several schools

took part and worked towards the project over a number of weeks. Boscawen Class were selected to represent

Perranporth by learning a variety of songs with a special musician.

There were lots of schools who came along to St Just to share in the occasion and cele-

brate Cornwall. Boscawen Class gave a fine performance and wowed the audience

with their vocal talents. A huge well done to the

children and staff for contributing to such a won-

derful event. A very big thank you to the parents

who came along to support and to Cornwall

Heritage Trust who funded transport for us. Thank

you!

Lunchtime Supervisor Vacancy

We currently have a vacancy for a Lunchtime Supervisor to work 5 days a week between 12.00 and

1.00pm. Duties include assisting and supervising groups of pupils during the lunch break, encourag-

ing responsible and appropriate behaviour, activities and play ensuring the safety of pupils. Also to

assist children in preparing for meals, promoting good table manners and encouraging children to eat a varie-

ty of food. Rate of Pay: £7.85 per hour. If you are interested in finding out more about this post please let us know!
