Project Report You will need to write a short report in order to present

your work for this project.

This should be done in WORD (not PowerPoint) and

handed in the first lesson back

It should include:

A title and short introduction

Your initial ideas for the game – see Task 1

Game Plan – see Task 2

A wireframe diagram – see Task 3

A storyboard – see Task 4

Task 1 - Thought Shower

Create a thought shower of ideas for the 2D game,

based on finding your way through a haunted wood

Remember that the game must feature a simple maze

But it should also include other elements

Your thought shower may be in the form of a list, mind

map or a hand written description. The choice is yours.

Task 3 - Wireframe

Create a wireframe diagram for the game you have

planned

This should be detailed and describe the main features

of the user interface

If you can’t remember what a wireframe diagram should

look like, see the example at the end

Task 4 - Storyboard

Create a storyboard for the 2D maze game

This should describe the first level of the game

See the template at the end of this document

provide a visual

representation of what the

interface will look like

show what information will

appear on the page

show how the information on

the page will be structured

indicate how the page

content will function and

behave, e.g. the function of

buttons, or where content

will be animated.

What to include in a wireframe

Structure – how is the game interface put together?

Content – what is to be displayed in the game interface?

Functionality – what functions are available on the

game interface?

Behaviour – how will each of the functions behave –

e.g. sliders, push buttons, drop down menus

sequential pages of a website or interface

the different scenes and goals that make up a game level

progress through levels of a game

Each storyboard should include notes to describe what is going on.
