• The Task – To create a ‘Design Directory’.
• This WILL form part of your portfolio and WILL be
invaluable to you as a source of information.
• You must include:
– Minimum 5 artists from different movements.
– Minimum 5 design movements.
– Minimum 5 designers from different fields.
– Must investigate – Characteristics in terms of design
styles, philosophy and influences on design culture
– Basic information about artist/designer/movement
– Mood board for each.
– Own interpretation for each – this can take any form.
YOU MUST KEEP A CLEAR BIBLIOGRAPHY. YOU MUST REFER TO
A MINIMUM OF 5 DIFFERENT BOOKS AS WELL AS USING THE
INTERNET.
The library has a good selection of reference books specifically
on artists, designers and design movements – you must use
these.
