MAIN IDEAS AND FEEDBACK

• Young people are conscious, optimist, and have trust in institutions and professionals, so they suggest to cooperate with Authorities and to assume the correct behavior during and after a flood:

“Keep calm, we can fix that”

• They demand concrete and simple info's from institutions and fast interventions

• They focus on solidarity and an inclusive strategy of rescue and recovery (“all people must be saved, also pets”, other villages can come to give help, “listen to each others”)

• They have a particular care for children that can be traumatized by a flood event (you can organize specific games for them..)

• They all focus on the necessity of prepare safe places and inform population about it (action plan, organize evacuations)

• Prepare emergency kit and survival package (“we also need radio to listen music”)

Second part of WS: Making prototype

1.How can we organize a network of young volunteers after a flood event?

2.How can we take information and prepare ourselves to a possible flood event?[Choose between 2 possible questions, discuss and create a project. Use the following poster ]

Prototypes

4 groups choose the first question How can we organize a network of young volunteers after a flood event?.

Clear and good ideas on the organization of a network and its promotion with new media

Effective definition of the goals, underlying the importance of training and knowledge

Importance of the recovery, and soft aspects like listening to music and having fun
