“WOTF isn’t just about desks and

where you sit. It has changed the way

we work. It also has broken down

some of the barriers between levels

within EY and creates a better

teaming environment.”

Stuart Painter, Advisory Partner in Melbourne

After fracturing his foot, Matt had approached the Workplace of the

Future committee for a solution to enable him to continue to work in the

office. They let him know he could use one of the office’s new

adjustable-height desks. “Everyone who has walked past my desk was

fascinated by how the height of the desk could be raised or lowered at

the touch of a button. This flexibility has allowed me to keep my

fractured foot raised on a stool, which was important for recovery,” said

Matt. “I believe flexible working should be actively encouraged when the

circumstances make sense without affecting the delivery of exceptional

client service.”

Matt Tingle, TAS Manager in Singapore
