On behalf of all of the youth participants and families I want to thank those that came out to support our 4-H/FFA Youth Livestock Sale. Approximately 200 community members spent the evening enjoying good food and celebrating all of the hard work put into the Woodford County 4-H livestock and country ham projects. Special thanks to Ricardos, Woodford Feed, Quality Feed, Woodford County Cattlemen, Roy Lancaster, Ben Crain, State Representative James Kay, Candice Chavez, Courtney Roberts and Woodford County Farm Bureau, Jack Kain Ford, and Canaan Creek Stables for all of their donations, help and support of the Sale. We hope you will consider contributing to the United Way of the Bluegrass during their fall campaign drive. United Way is working to advance the common good by focusing on education, income and health. These are the building blocks for a good life - a quality education that leads to a stable job, enough income to support a family through retirement, and good health. Woodford County 4-H is directly supported by the United Way through an annual Local Grant program. You may also choose to have part or all of your annual contribution go directly to Woodford County 4-H by selecting “Woodford County 4-H Council” as the specific agency you would like to support. Selecting the “Education Initiative” will also support the local grant program.
