WOMEN’S FOOTBALLIn 2018, Football NSW will align with the national strategic objective in continually growing women’s football across the state.
This will be achieved by increased marketing towards females and targeted communication to women to inspire both retention of existing players and recruitment of new participants. Ensuring a gender equal split across all channels of creative and offering female specific marketing assets will be rounded out by a Female Football Round in March (2nd-10th).
MINIROOSIn 2018, Football NSW will align with the national strategic objective in growing the ALDI MiniRoos.
This will be achieved by increased marketing towards parents and targeted communication to parents that inspires both retention of existing players and recruitment of new participants. Ensuring a ALDI MiniRoos focus across all channels of creative and offering ALDI MiniRoos specific marketing assets will round out the registration campaign.

“I would say we have a good working link with the Wanderers al-ready, and have a few people who volunteer for them from our associ-ation,” Briggs said.
With 26 affiliated clubs, includingnew side Sydney Dragons FC, and more than 15,000 registered play-ers in 2015, Briggs said there was always plenty of talent kicking about in the grassroots league, and with the association’s close ties with the Wanderers, you never knew who might be watching.
With eight or more teams in-volved in every men’s competition, potential association players can be assured of plenty of games throughout the season at a suitable level. All material provided by Football NSW Granville & Districts Soccer Football Association offers games for all ages and levels of skill.
Associationgears up forbig season GRANVILLE & Districts Soccer Foot-ball Association (GDSFA) is the old-est football association in the southern hemisphere, and it is set for another big year in 2016.
The GDSFA has been operating since 1882, on the back of the for-mation of Australia’s first soccer club, Granville Soccer Club.
The club was formed by a groupof Scottish, English and Welsh mi-grants, and has gone on to become one of the biggest football associa-tions in NSW.
Today, the GDSFA continues to provide opportunities to those who want to play football at all levels.
GDSFA general manager MichaelBriggs said that meant the associ-ation provided players with the first steps required to play for A-League outfit Western Sydney Wanderers.
The association is represented ata state level by National Premier league NSW Men’s side Parramatta FC, which retained its top-tier spot last season.
Playing in the GDSFA offers a di-rect link to the NPL side, where there is potential to launch an A-League career.
