Welcome! We’ve heard it many times: This too shall pass! Certainly, the invisible enemy in our midst is wreaking havoc with our lives, our ability to gather as a community and our economy. It appears most likely that life as we once knew it will never be the same.

Still, we’ve all come to realize that without the uplifting and restorative power of the Arts, our daily interactions would be dismal and colorless. Just imagine – NO WAIT! You’ve already lived it and learned that while watching from a computer or phone screen is better than nothing, it is NOT a live performance experienced with others who share your delight and energy. The bottom line – it is NOT the same!

Having experienced the reality of a pandemic and the accompanying restrictions, let’s look forward to when you and your friends can once again come together to laugh, be inspired and amazed by the exceptional talents of local, national and international performers and artists. On the outside, it may look a bit different. When you actually take your seat in the theatre, however, we are confident you will find it to be worth the wait. At the end of the tunnel, the Tack will be the light waiting to welcome you back, stronger and more resilient than ever. Until that moment, stay healthy and remember: This too shall pass. Back at the Tack, it’s “On With the Show!”

After her first appearance at the Tack, audience members clamored to bring her back, praising her performance as mesmerizing, enchanting, and spot on. This season, internationally and critically acclaimed vocalist, Helen Welch, will take you on a nostalgic, musical journey of Carpenter’s classics and Christmas songs sure to get you in the holiday spirit. Helen superbly captures the essence of Karen Carpenter and her unique vocal style, but it is her own charming energy and knowledge of the brother-sister duo that offers the audience a wonderfully reminiscent evening of stories and songs with a Christmas twist. Wisconsin Blues Society described them as a “hot Zydeco Swamp/Blues Rock outfit with a great baritone and tenor sax gal and a hot accordion man.” A Coverville Podcast producer commented, “I’ve never had so much feedback from our listeners of your remake of The Pink Floyd Polka.” Having played Milwaukee’s Summerfest, Wausau’s Grand Theater and venues across the country, they’re sure to keep your feet tapping and your spirits lifted. Wisconsin’s own Copper Box is “as refreshing as a cool spring breeze blowing new life into a stuffy room.” What more could you want or ask in the dark days of January? LuCille’s Vision Series presentsBridge & WolakFriday, February 19, 2021 at 7:30 pm Reserved seats $30

A button accordion and a clarinet – not the flashiest of instruments. If you choose to experience the dynamic duo known as Bridge & Wolak, however, you’ll never associate these instruments with “boring” again. Taking songs from the radio, classical, jazz and folk genres, they fuse a variety of flavors into a unique blend of now/contemporary. With stunning virtuosity, endless dry wit and lighthearted banter, Bridge & Wolak have been called the “Victor Borges of the 21st Century,” and there is no doubt that Michael’s digital accordion and Kornel’s clarinet will create a spectacular evening to be remembered for a very long time! bridgewolak.com
