Eric, Here you go. A few notes (please add these to the agenda so that I remember we need to discuss them):
1. The invoice for Holiday Inn has not been paid yet. I’ve gone through the bill and there is a charge of $99.99 for a Tammy Wagner being a no show to the conference. I left a voice mail for the billing contact at Holiday Inn and they have not gotten back to me. The total invoice is $36,497.45 (which includes the $99.99 charge). This invoice will be reflected on the June report.
2. The EC needs to act on reimbursement requests so that I can process them in June. 3. The miscellaneous expense includes a charge of $437 for a check the bank deposited, then returned and
charged the account $12 and then redeposited and refunded the $12 service fee. It messes up the accounting, but everything appears to be in order.
4. The budget has to be approved and I believe I sent that to you earlier. Scott Scott Brandmeier, P.E. Director of Public Works Village of Fox Point 7200 North Santa Monica Boulevard Fox Point, WI 53217 414‐351‐8900 [email protected]

The intent of this policy is to have a fair and uniform practice when lunch and banquet tickets are issued to award recipients for our conferences. Additional tickets beyond what is listed will be the attendee’s responsibility. Banquet Meals: All award winners and their respective guest(s) are welcome to attend the annual awards banquet. No banquet meals are to be provided for speakers. The banquet ticket policy is as follows:

Wisconsin Chapter - APWA
Conference Program Committee Recap
Spring Conference Stevens Point, WI
May 4-6, 2016 With another spring conference behind us, I would like to take this opportunity to provide an update on the event. Some of the highlights and changes include:
• This is the first conference where a 3rd track was added and it worked out very well.
• We had a total of eighteen (18) sessions Three (3) General sessions Fifteen (15) concurrent sessions
• All conference presenters showed up • Comments from the attendees were overall positive
A few of the glitches that were encountered were:
• Speaker gifts- Additional speakers were present after the initial listing was given to the conference host. Conference host had to get additional gifts after the conference started
• A/V & Technical problems – these problems were addressed by the hotel staff
• Attendees were not sure of where to go for certain speaker presentations as there were no informational posters outside the conference rooms.
Overall the conference presentations went fine. We will again be having a 3rd track at the fall conference in Janesville. If you have any ideas or comments on how to enhance our conference presentations, please let us know. We appreciate all types of feedback. 2016 Conference Program Committee Team Jim Hessling Scott Solverson Mary Dziewiontkoski Bob Givens

Subject: RE: APWA WI Executive Committee Meeting - Jun 10th TIME CHANGE
My apologies, there are a few others to consider (just found them in my notes):
1. Dan Jensen – Burlington ‐ $25 (did not participate in the TIME training) 2. SEH – one person had to back out of the conference due to personal matters (name was not provided to me).
The contact is Dan Erickson ([email protected]). 3. Paul Eiring, Graef – full conference refund (could not attend due to illness). 4. Jim Lisak, Graef – refund for Friday ($60) as he couldn’t attend that day.
Dan Jensen’s situation is unique – I believe Burlington reorganized and he was without a position and that may be why he canceled the training. I am okay issuing a refund of $25 to Dan. The others need approval as well and I am okay with refunds less the $25. Scott Scott Brandmeier, P.E. Anyway, our policy indicates that cancellations must be made by the late registration date and that all others will be considered on a case by case basis – first by the host committee and then approved by the Executive Committee. I have attached his request.
2
To be consistent with the policy, I will defer to Scott and Tricia. If they approve of the refund, then it has to be approved by the EC. I do recommend approving the refund request less the $25 cancellation fee and ask that we have this on the June 10th agenda. Scott Scott Brandmeier, P.E. To Whom It May Concern:
I have had the pleasure of working with and mentoring Rebecca Alonge for just about a year. Becca came to our firm after completing her engineering degree through the coop program at Marquette University. Becca’s coop experience was with another consulting firm, but after spending a summer working for us she was offered and accepted a full time position. We are very lucky that she made that choice.
I highly recommend Becca for inclusion in the Emerging Public Works Leaders Program. Becca is intelligent, hardworking, driven, friendly, outgoing, willing to learn, and is a great joy to work with. She is willing to take on any task and will strive to accomplish it to the highest standards. If she doesn’t know something she will ask for guidance, but generally she is able to teach herself much of what she needs to be successful. She exhibits a collaborative work style, which is well received by coworkers and clients alike.
Becca refers to her approach as “light and polite” and it is a good description. Clients, staff and contractors wish to work with her. Becca clearly wishes to advance in her career and in the Public Works profession. Unlike so many that wish to succeed, Becca’s approach is a joy. There is none of the naked ambition that so many who wish to succeed exhibit. She never seeks success at the expense of another. She will be a great leader because she is genuine and people are drawn to her because of that. She has established a high level of trust with coworkers and clients alike. In this field, trust generally takes time to earn. Becca has done that in record time.
I can’t imagine being able to recommend a young professional more highly than I recommend Becca. I also am fully confident in her ability to succeed in this program and to be an exemplary participant that will reflect favorably on the Chapter, National and the Profession as a whole.
I whole heartedly recommend Rebecca Alonge for inclusion in the Emerging Leaders Program. Thank you for this opportunity to offer my recommendation. If you would have any questions, please contact me.
Very truly yours, RUEKERT & MIELKE, INC.

To whom it may concern;
Rebeca Alonge has worked for Ruekert & Mielke, Inc. an engineering firm contracted by the Village of
Mukwonago since May of 2015. During this time, I have had the opportunity to work with her on Village projects.
Currently Rebecca is involved in four projects for the Village, a water main relay, planning and design of a new Blvd.,
design for intersection upgrades involving a state highway and construction management for a 29 home subdivision.
Rebecca's personality and energetic attitude are some of her best qualities. She has a keen eye for reviewing
plans and the professional attitude needed to follow through on issues. Working with her on our projects brings a
refreshing atmosphere to, at times a mundane task. Staff is comfortable working with her on projects and value her
opinions as an E.I.T.
I believe Rebecca will make an excellent candidate for the APWA Emerging Leaders Program. I look forward
to working with her as she progresses through her professional career.
Please feel free to contact me in regards to this referral.
Sincerely,
