Tips & Tools for Applying for Post Secondary Education

Review the admission require-

ments to make sure you meet them before you apply.

Be aware of your deadlines --

they are different for college and university, and many vary from school to school.

f you're applying to a high-

demand program, you may increase your chances of getting accepted if you send in your application early.

If you need OSAP or other forms

of financial assistance,

apply in advance to

ensure your funding

arrives when you need

it. Students in special

circumstances may be

eligible for additional

funding support.

Students should follow these tips when applying for college or university: Before you apply, research

the background, trends and

outlooks for common Ontario occupations so you can make an informed decision about your education and future career.

Talk with people in the pro

gram or profession that inter-ests you.

The Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) offers two kinds of money:

grants: money you

don’t have to pay back

Through one OSAP appli-cation, you have access to a mix of different financial aid programs, depending on your circumstances.

If you apply for OSAP, you

are automatically consid-

ered for 30% Off Ontario

Tuition, too. You don’t

need to apply separately.

To apply online, you need

to:

website
