The Eastern Townships SPA has the mandate to find the right adoption families for the largestnumber of animals welcomed to its shelter. That is why the SPA strives to make eachadoption the best possible family-petmatch. This is the best guarantee fora long and enjoyable life together!

When visiting our shelter, you will be invited to meetwith an adoption specialist who will guide youthroughout the process and will help you determinewhich animal suits you best. Once the profile of yourdesired pet is established, you will be able to consultthe personal files of all animals up for adoption. Youwill discover their history, learn more about theirhabits and maybe even some of their personality traits!And, who knows, this might be the moment you willfind your perfect match!

The Eastern Townships SPA offers up for adoption a vast choice of cats and dogs of all ages and breeds,and occasionally, a few birds or rodents. These animalsended up at the SPA shelter for various reasons:moving, allergies, separation, new-born, lack of time,etc. In most cases, they are well trained and are justhoping to give love to a new family again. Give asecond chance to an animal in need and save a life. It’s a gratifying gesture and a responsible choice.

All animals up for adoption have been examined. They have also received their first vaccines, have beende-wormed, spayed or neutered, and micro-chipped,advantages rarely found elsewhere.

1- Through our voicemail system, you can access lists of animals ready for adoption, 24 hours a day. Call 819-821-4727 and follow the instructions.

3- Visit the Eastern Townships SPA shelter, fromMonday to Saturday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.Adoption rooms are open to the public.

Three Ways to

Discover Them!

The cat or dog that you will adopt from the EasternTownships SPA has been micro-chipped. This greatlyincreases your chances of finding her if she ever gets lost!The size of a grain of rice, the microchip is painlesslyinserted under the animal’s skin and contains a code that allows for her identification. If your pet hasunfortunately lost her ID tag or was not wearing onewhen she ran away, the microchip will be used as a lastresort to identify and safely return her to the comfort of your home.

All things considered, it is very economical to adoptfrom the Eastern Townships SPA. For only $125 for a cat(including a carrying box), and $190 for a dog, the petyou choose will already have been vaccinated, de-wormed, micro-chipped and spayed or neutered.In addition, you will be provided with ahealth guarantee and enjoy the followingdiscounts:

• 15% off the first visit and first boostervaccines at participating veterinaryclinics on presentation of the adoptioncertificate issued by the SPA;

• 20% off the first visit to a participating grooming salon.

Save Money!

You can submit an adoption request to the EasternTownships SPA. If you have a specific idea of the pet you wishto adopt, our staff will take down the information that isrelevant to your request. When we receive an animal thatmatches adoption requests, we contact a maximum of threeinterested people. The SPA expects those who have made anadoption request to come in and see the animal that hasbeen suggested. Adoption requests are kept for threemonths; people wishing to renew them are invited to contact the SPA.
