What’s God’s will for my life?

Ephesians 1:15-18

What are some things you do to try to please God?

Do you do those things out of love or because you think you should?

• Because of the love of Christ• Verse 15 “ For this reason, ever since I heard about your

faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints.• Verse 16 “I have not stopped giving thanks for you,

remembering you in my prayers.• “Agape” love• which strives with people and seeks their best as it relates to

their relationship with God• which loves when others may not love you back• God sent His son and only Son into the world that we might

live through him.• Faith and love must go hand in hand

• 1: 17 “I Keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better

• What is the meaning of our life?• To glory our heavenly Father• The glorious Father who’s given us his

Spirit• Spirit of God who is able to open the eyes

of the blind…..• Recognizes our needs • Help us to grow in wisdom and revelation

and knowledge of HIM

•Wisdom~which is the word of God, inspired by the Holy spirit

• Prompts our heart to walk humbly before God

•Allow the world to see what God is doing our lives as we rely on His power

• Revelation

• Laying bear, making naked

• To make one see the truth

• The Holy Spirit teaches and comforts us through the word of God

• If we’re seeking to be wise in Him,

• He will reveal the truth to us

• So that we may grow in our faith.

1:18 “I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints.

• The eyes of your heart

• The heart of a person, the spirit of a person which needs to be awakened

• We had received the light when we had already been opened to the truth of gospel

• Never stop appreciating

• Never stop learning

• What’s the hope of His calling in your life?• To perceive with our spiritual eyes the deeper

truth of the great salvation• We have to seek the Spirit who gives wisdom and

knowledge into what we possess,• Then we can truly begin to comprehend the riches

of His glory.

• It must be done in faith,

• But it must first start with a desire that He’s worth knowing better and loving more
