Please visit Neemann Hall and see the beautiful gallery of pictures Ruth Mahling has created. She is selling
them for $15 each or whatever you can afford. All proceeds will go to the Pine Ridge Reservation Project.
THANK YOU! Members Chris and Amy Jimieson along with their adopted son, Myles, would like to thank the members of Hope Lutheran Church for their support of their event Strides for Africa. After last summer's sermon at Hope Lutheran on "The Daily Grind for Water in Afri-ca", their 2014 run/walk event went on to raise approx-imately $12,000, which is translating to approximately 4,000 changed lives in Africa with the gift of clean wa-ter. Their run/walk event will be held this year on 8/15 at Madison's Central Park.

STEWARDSHIP PROJECTS STEWARDSHIP PROJECTS STEWARDSHIP PROJECTS STEWARDSHIP PROJECTS FOR LUTHERAN WORLD RELIEFFOR LUTHERAN WORLD RELIEFFOR LUTHERAN WORLD RELIEFFOR LUTHERAN WORLD RELIEF Our focus for July and August is School Kits. There
are school bags in Neemann Hall for you to pick up
and fill as in years past. A list of the items needed
will be aached to each bag. Start checking out
the weekly sales flyers to find some good
school supply bargains. Most items can be
purchased for 50¢ or less when on sale.
We ask that you remove items from the packaging
they came in as the extra packaging only adds extra
postage. The five pencils and five pens should be bun-
dled with a rubber band.
All completed bags and extra schools supply items
can be placed in the trunk in Neemann Hall. Thank you
in advance for all your efforts to collect these items.

PRESCRIPTION BOTTLES
NO LONGER COLLECTED After many years of collecting empty prescription bottles to
be reused by medical staff in other areas of the world, this
program has come to an end. The warehouse that collected
and distributed them and a variety of other medical aids has
closed. As of this article, please do not drop these bottles
off at church. They may be recycled in your own bins or if
you find a place that can use them, please take advantage of
that. Thank you to everyone who has donated these bottles. Mary Ackerman

The Community Co-chairs of HLCW are planning an outing to see the Vienna Boys Choir on November 27th at 7 pm at the Overture Center. While they’re aware that this falls on “Black Friday”, they’re thinking you’ll be ready to sit back, relax and soak in some Christmas season sensations. There are only 25 seats reserved for this one night event! The cost is estimat-ed to be less than $35. A seating chart and other de-tails along with a sign-up sheet will be posted the first part of September.

Do you have trouble hearing the beautiful mu-sic provided by Hope’s choirs on Sunday morn-ing? Or is Pastor Chris’ message sometimes
hard to hear? If either of these hap-pens to you, try our new wireless headphones! Hope recently ac-quired the capability to provide this
service and has four wireless headphones for member use (these are very similar to what are used in movie theaters to enhance hearing capa-bility). See a tech crew member or an usher if you would like to try one out. Why not give it a shot and see what you might be missing.
Come help
Louise (Brown) Wollin celebrate her 90th birhday!
Sunday, August 2nd beginning at noon
at Hope Lutheran Church
It is a miracle that Louise is still with us. She has fought breast cancer, kidney cancer and a heart attack, lost a spouse of 64 years and won those battles with persis-tence, strength and plain old Brown stubbornness.
No gifts. Pictures & memories would be appreciated.
