done by hand.

Monasteries

Books that were made were usually

religious.

Once metal or wooden letters wereset, they were arranged to form

sentences on block sets.

Which after the , the letters would bepressed on sheets of paper and theprinting would continue.

One thing to remember was changingthe layout, adding designs was a verytime consuming process

Gutenbergs printing press spread

really quickly.

Early designers were metal smiths,

designer, publisher and typographer.

Till today some form of the printing

theory of Gutenberg is still used,

mainly for postage stamps and even

currency.
