Background of What Really Happened
Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife of Austria were assassinated by a Serbian nationalist Gavrilo Princip which ignited WWI.
Event 1: World War I
World War 1 would have never happened because the assassination of the archduke ignited the war in the first place.
Event 2: Separation of Europe after WW1
If WW1 never happened, the Treaty of Versailles would not exist therefore the countries would have not separated.
Event 3: World War II
World War II would have not existed because WWII only existed because Germans were full of resentment for their loss in WWI.
What Would Today Be Like If POD Happened?
Europe would have less countries.
Weapons like tanks, poison gas, aircrafts, and submarines would have been developed at a later time.
Over 50 to more than 80 million people wouldn’t have died.
The United Nations would not exist.
