What Do We Really Need?Redefining Priorities

    By Andres Aguila

need 1. essential or necessary to something2. something that is a requirement or is wanted

Perhaps everything truly is relative. My chosen path is a life of total surrender to the Most High. It includesletting go of all attachments to worldly things, including even, attachments to people. My spiritual masterspoke some very direct words, which I have chosen to elieve. He said !"#nd everyone who has left housesor rothers or sisters or father or mother or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much, and will receive eternal life"! My shepherd leads me on a hard$core %ourney of letting go of all that istemporary and releasing all that is the ego. &herefore, the views I have on the concept of !need ! may differfrom the views of the same concept y those who have chosen other paths.

'ife had finally come to some smooth sailing after () years of seemingly constant storms. *inally I pursued mylife vision and my heart calling without too much distraction. I had at last mustered the strength to leave ehindmy old, unfulfilling materialistic life and dive head first into life+s purpose $ and the true %ourney of my heart. ow I could actually e the e-ample and really live the inspiring life to help others out of their own darknessand misery. &he vision for &he evolution Pro%ect had een incuating in me for nearly 2/ years, and althoughI had served youth and children for much of that incuation period, the culmination of the dream now dancedright in front of me $ eye to eye with my destiny. I finally chose to hold on to her hands, humle myself, and lether lead. 'ike any rookie dancer, I stepped on her feet again and again. #nd, like any great teacher 0estiny patiently forgave me over and over and relentlessly offered new opportunities.

Making the actual, physical move to osta ica, although painful to leave ehind loved ones, seemed to fallinto place miraculously. My house sold for a full retail price, giving me an incredile profit on the investmentof time, energy, and resources $ and I never even listed it or told anyone it was for sale #n acquaintanceactually emailed me and said he wanted to uy it. 3ow. o turning ack. I gave all my material possessionsaway other than a ackpack full of stuff and a computer, said my good$yes, cried my eyealls red a few times4I actually popped a lood vessel in my eyelid once during a )5 minute torrential soing session6, and got onthe plane.

7ven after paying off some dets, and leaving some money ehind for tickets to fly my kids out to e with me, Ihad 85/,/// in an investment with a financial roker friend of mine. &his little nest egg was proving to e moreof a hatchery, gaining over (9: annually, and giving me a nice lump of cash each month to move the vision

forward, and support me and several other people while I learned more lessons I would need  for the %ourney.

0id I need  the house in the ;.
