2010 Al-Rahmah Summer Camp 1

What do we offer?Islamic Studies. First and foremost your child builds a foundation of Islamic learning, Insha’Allah. Basic Aqeeda will answer the question: Why are we Muslim? What do we believe in? In Fiqh, your child will learn how to pray correctly, etc. In Adab, your child will learn proper manners in Islam. The right way to greet someone, the manners of eating, sleeping, etc.

Qur’an. This year your child will learn under ISB’s very own Hifz Academy Graduate, Hammad Hai. Br. Hammad has lead countless Taraweehs at many masjids around Maryland. We are excited to have him as one of our instructors. Assisting him with the girls will be Fatima Husain, a current student at the Al-Rahmah Hifz Academy.

Arts & Crafts. A natural part of any summer camp. In addition to coloring, painting, crafting, etc. the camp will also offer Film Production and Theater classes, Insha’Allah. In Film Production class your child will get to explore his inner director/

producer/scriptwriter and then work on their acting skills during Theater class.

Sports. Along with the usual sporting activities, we will be offering Martial Arts like classes. Insha’Allah, your child will learn to focus and gain confidence in his/her physical abilities.

Cooking. A very popular class at the Al-Rahmah Summer Camp, Mash’Allah. Like last year we plan on cooking up a storm, gaining experience in the kitchen while having fun. Insha’Allah, we plan to have a bigger and badder ISB Iron Chef with a major camp wide cooking competition.

Workshops. Field Day. Field Trips. Service Learning. And so much more! Insha’Allah, we plan on bringing a professional photographer, professional chef, etc. to our summer camp for one day workshops. Your child will learn and gain knowledge from notable Muslims around the tri-state area. In addition, your child will participate in our field day and go on various field trips. Service Learning is also a new aspect of our camp this year, IA.
