WELCOME TO WESTSIDEWestside Baptist Church is a place where everyday people, just like yourself, can experience God’s love in a real and personal way. We are founded on the Bible and committed to sharing the timeless truths contained in its pages. Through straight-forward preaching from God’s Word, reverent worship, and fervent prayer, lives are impacted and inspired for spiritual growth every week here at Westside.
We hope you feel at home. Whatever your ethnic or cultural background, whether you are single or married, young or just young at heart, we would love to learn more about you and help you find your joy and satisfaction in Jesus Christ.
If you are looking for a gospel-centered church on the Kitsap Peninsula, or if we could serve you in any way, please let us know.

RESURRECTION HYMNVerse 1
See what a morning, gloriously bright,With the dawning of hope in Jerusalem;
Folded the grave-clothes, tomb filled with light,As the angels announce, “Christ is risen!”See God’s salvation plan, wrought in love,
Borne in pain, paid in sacrifice;Fulfilled in Christ, the Man, for He lives:
Christ is risen from the dead!
Verse 2See Mary weeping, “Where is He laid?”
As in sorrow she turns from the empty tomb;Hears a voice speaking, calling her name;
It’s the Master, the Lord, raised to life again!The voice that spans the years,
Speaking life, stirring hope, bringing peace to us,Will sound till He appears, for He lives:
Christ is risen from the dead!
Verse 3One with the Father, Ancient of Days,
Through the Spirit who clothes faith with certainty;Honour and blessing, glory and praise
To the King crowned with pow’r and authority!And we are raised with Him;
Death is dead, love has won, Christ has conquered;And we shall reign with Him, for He lives:
Christ is risen from the dead!

SPEAK, O LORDVerse 1
Speak, O Lord, as we come to YouTo receive the food of Your holy Word.
Take Your truth, plant it deep in us;Shape and fashion us in Your likeness,
That the light of Christ might be seen todayIn our acts of love and our deeds of faith.
Speak, O Lord, and fulfill in usAll Your purposes for Your glory.
Verse 2Teach us, Lord, full obedience,Holy reverence, true humility.
Test our thoughts and our attitudesIn the radiance of Your purity.
Cause our faith to rise;Cause our eyes to see
Your majestic love and authority.Words of power that can never fail,Let their truth prevail over unbelief.
Verse 3Speak, O Lord, and renew our minds;
Help us grasp the heights of Your plans for us.Truths unchanged from the dawn of time
That will echo down through eternity.And by grace we’ll stand on Your promises,And by faith we’ll walk as You walk with us.
Speak, O Lord, till Your church is builtAnd the earth is filled with Your glory.

ARISE, MY SOUL, ARISEVerse 1
Arise, my soul, arise:Shake off thy guilty fears;
The bleeding sacrificeIn my behalf appears;
Before the throne my surety stands,Before the throne my surety stands,
My name is written on His hands.
Verse 2Five bleeding wounds He bears,
Received on Calvary;They pour effectual prayers,They strongly plead for me;
“Forgive him, O forgive,” they cry.“Forgive him, O forgive,” they cry.
“Nor let that ransomed sinner die!”
Verse 3The Father hears Him pray,
His dear Anointed One;He cannot turn away
The presence of His Son;His Spirit answers to the blood,His Spirit answers to the blood,And tells me I am born of God.
Verse 4To God I’m reconciled;
His pardoning voice I hear;He owns me for His child,
I can no longer fear;With confidence I now draw nigh,With confidence I now draw nighAnd, “Father, Abba, Father” cry.

WHO IS ON THE LORD’S SIDE?Verse 1
Who is on the Lord’s side? Who will serve the King?Who will be His helpers, Other lives to bring?
Who will leave the world’s side? Who will face the foe?Who is on the Lord’s side? Who for Him will go?
By Thy call of mercy, By Thy grace divine,We are on the Lord’s side, Savior we are Thine.
Verse 2Not for weight of glory, Not for crown and palm,
Enter we the army, Raise the warrior psalm;But for love that claimeth, Lives for whom He died;
He whom Jesus nameth, Must be on His side.By Thy love constraining, By Thy Grace divine,We are on the Lord’s side, Savior, we are Thine.
Verse 3Jesus Thou hast bought us, Not with gold or gem,
But with Thine own life-blood, For Thy diadem,With Thy blessing filling, Each who comes to Thee,Thou hast made us willing, Thou hast made us free.
By Thy grand redemption, By Thy grace divineWe are on the Lord’s side, Savior we are Thine.
Verse 3Fierce may be the conflict, Strong may be the foe,
But the King’s own army, None can overthrow.Round His standard ranging, Victory is secure.
For His truth unchanging, Makes the triumph sure.Joyfully enlisting, By Thy grace divine,
We are on the Lord’s side, Savior we are Thine.

COME, THOU FOUNTVerse 1
Come, Thou Fount of ev’ry blessing,Tune my heart to sing Thy grace;Streams of mercy, never ceasing,Call for songs of loudest praise.
Teach me some melodious sonnet,Sung by flaming tongues above;
Praise the mount! I’m fixed upon it,Mount of Thy redeeming love.
Verse 2Hither to Thy love has blest me;
Thou has brought me to this place;And I know Thy hand will bring me
Safely home by thy good grace.Jesus sought me when a stranger
Wand’ring from the fold of GodHe, to rescue me from danger,
Bought me with His precious blood.
Verse 3O to grace how great a debtor
Daily I’m constrained to be!Let Thy goodness like a fetter,
Bind my wand’ring heart to Thee.Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,Prone to leave the God I love;
Here’s my heart O take and seal it;Seal it for Thy courts above.
Verse 4O that day when freed from sinning,
I shall see Thy lovely face;Clothed then in the blood-washed linen,
How I’ll sing Thy sovereign grace.Come, my Lord, no longer tarry,
Take my ransomed soul away;Send Thine angels now to carry
Me to realms of endless day.

FAIREST LORD JESUSVerse 1
Fairest Lord Jesus, Ruler of all nature,O Thou of God and man the Son;
Thee will I cherish, Thee will I honor,Thou my soul’s glory, joy, and crown.
Verse 2Fair are the meadows, fairer still the woodlands,
Robed in the blooming garb of spring;Jesus is fairer, Jesus is purer,
Who makes the woeful heart to sing.
Verse 3Fair is the sunshine, fairer still the moonlight
And all the twinkling, starry host;Jesus shines brighter, Jesus shines purer,
Than all the angels heav’n can boast.
Verse 4Beautiful Saviour, Lord of all the nations,
Son of God and Son of Man!Glory and honor, praise, adoration,
Now and forevermore be Thine!
