to thank Rev. Ken Humbert for the committed work he has done as our interim lead pastor for the past eight months. When he arrived,
SPRC instructed Pastor Ken to spend the eight months moving us forward and preparing us for new leadership in July. He has done that
with exceptional dedication and skill. Please plan to greet Pastor Ken and Beverly on Sunday, June 14,
following the 8:30 service or following the 10:00 service. A basket will be available if you would like to offer

Open Volunteer Opportunities at Everest VBS
Welcome to Everest: Conquering Challenges with God’s Mighty Power!
In just a few short months, our church will be getting a mountain makeover as we begin a unique adventure at Everest VBS! Kids will
worship God through songs and prayer, experiment with Sciency-Fun Gizmos, and discover life-changing Bible truths in fun and memorable ways.
To have the best adventure possible, we need lots of volunteers who can give some time, energy, and love to the kids who will attend. So let me share a few ideas about ways you might be able to make this program a success. Please check out the following list, and then pray about where God might use you.
Station Leaders (Adults): Use easy-to-follow station leader manuals and prepare one 20-minute session each day, which you will repeat with four different groups of approximately 20 kids. We need leaders for the following stations:
Imagination Station (fun, hands-on science experiments)
Glacier Games (fun games that reinforce Bible truths)
Bible Expeditions (incredible, surprising explorations of Bible stories)
Preschool VBS Glacier Games
Preschool VBS Kid Vid Cinema
Crew Leaders (Senior High): Shepherd a mixed-age group of five elementary children through each day’s activities…and there’s no preparation!
Crew Leader Assistant (Middle High): Be a friend and helper to a group of five preschool children…again, no preparation required!
Still don’t see something that interests you? We’d also love to have a…
Decorating team
Supply coordinator
Nursery Helper
We believe that God will use this incredible program to reach many children with the message of his love, so please prayerfully consider your role in Everest VBS.
Feel free to contact me by email, phone, or in person if you have any questions. ([email protected] or 443.934.6413)
