A prayer that is most appropriate before retiring for the night is the Act of Contrition. A daily examination of conscience before praying the Act of Contrition is also helpful. The purpose of this examination is to gratefully recognize the hand of God in all aspects of daily life, and to ask for the grace to become aware of the ways we have responded to the Lord’s grace today, where we have fallen short, to ask His forgiveness and to cooperate more fully with His grace as we receive His strength to resist sinful habits and avoid the possible occasions of sin in the future. To download this Prayer Card, go to diolc.org/deeper.

Lent is an appropriate time to set aside a bit more time for prayer. Parents are invited to download a one-page prayer card for their children. The prayer card is more than reciting a prayer, and allows prayer to be more personal. Go to diolc.org/prayer and choose a specific grade level.

In 2016, Amanda Tiry took over the tradition of leading the rosary before 10:00 mass from Margaret Leick who had lead the rosary for many years. Amanda is ready to pass the torch on to the Next individual(s). We pray that we do not see this tradition die. The rosary is a beautiful and powerful prayer that we should continue to practice within our communities. If you feel called to lead the rosary before 10:00 mass, please contact the Parish Office at 715-687-2404.

There is a one (1) hour choir practice after the 10:00AM Masses. We hope this new time for practice will encourage you to join us. Please consider sharing your singing gift with your community. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
