The Very Rev. Dr. James F. Garneau, Ph.D., V.F., K.H.S., is a priest of the Diocese of Raleigh who earned his doctorate in Church History at The Catholic Univ. of America in 2000. A priest for over thirty years, he served as the second Episcopal Vicar for Hispanics in the Diocese of Raleigh & is now the diocesan Director of the Office of the Permanent Diaconate. Fr. Garneau served as Aca-demic Dean & interim Rector/President at The Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, Ohio, & as an adjunct professor of history at the Univ. of Mount Olive.
Fr. Garneau was the Pastor of St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church in Mount Olive & the Dean of the New-ton Grove Deanery. In addition, he is the Chair of the Board of the Diocese of Raleigh Home Mission Society, which assists in funding the construction of churches & chapels in eastern N.C. He is also serving as the Episcopal Delegate for the Cause of the Servant of God, Fr. Thom-as F. Price. He has published, lectured, & preached in a variety of venues.
The Rev. Michael Schuetz, S.T.B., is a priest of the Diocese of Raleigh. He earned his Bachelors of Sacred Theology at the Pontifical University of St, Thomas Aquinas, Rome, Ita-ly, in 2015 while in priestly formation at the Pontifical North American College, Vatican City State. Fr Schuetz has been a priest of the Diocese of Raleigh since his ordination in 2016 and has served as Pa-rochial Vicar of St Paul Catholic Church in New Bern. In addition, he has resumed his studies at the Catholic Uni-versity of America and is working to complete his Licenti-ate in Canon Law.

SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION FOR
FIRST COMMUNION Sacramental preparation is a two-year
process, beginning in Grade 1, for children receiving First Communion.
Students must be registered at OLLS or attend Faith Formation class the year prior to receiving the sacraments. First Communion
will be celebrated on Saturday, May 4, 2019.
