How Am I Doing?• Multiple assessments variety is good!– WSPQV (Notes check)
• Watch Watch the lesson & take complete notes (pause, rewind, re-watch as needed)
• Summarize Summarize the key points of this concept• Practice complete the 2-3 guided practice questions provided
online • Question write a question about something that confused you, or
if not confused, write an example of a test question.• Verify parent signature

What Makes This Great?• Students receive a more individualized education• Face-to-face time used more effectively• Understanding content at a higher and deeper level• Challenges students to take charge of their learning,
manage their time, & become resourceful learners• Provides time for more “higher-order thinking”
discussion and questioning during class time• Helps students to become reflective communicators
and think more deeply about the subject

What Makes This Hard?• All expectations must change• Students must be more responsible!• Schedule their time• Pause, rewind, and rewatch videos• Complete assignments on their own• Work together more effectively in class
• Parents must assist in new & different ways• Teacher must be better prepared• Computers break, websites crash, etc.

Parent Responsibilities•Monitor eSembler at least weekly•Help student stay organized (i.e. weekly binder cleanout)•Plan time to watch the video when still fully awake
(before 10pm is highly suggested).•Help student work through challenging concepts by re-watching the video lessons, posting questions online, and using textbook & other resources for help•Contact me (email, phone, or note in agenda) with any questions, concerns, or issues
