To tell you one thing I’m proud of

BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHTWe had a great turnout at back to school night! Thank you to

all that were able to attend. It was great getting to meet you and share some information with you about our classroom.

SCHOLASTIC BOOK ORDERSI will be sending home Scholastic Book order forms in the next

few days. If you are interested in any books for your child, you can submit your order two ways. You can send the form within the order flyer with money into school. You can also order online with a credit card. I will be sending home a paper that also gives you a code so that you can access our class’s order.

WORDS THEIR WAYAs explained at back to school night we will be working with a

program called Words Their Way this year. It is a developmental spelling program. Students will begin homework with assigned words next week. The entire class will have the same sort in order to introduce Word Work activities. Students will receive their new words on Monday and be assessed on Fridays.

HOMEWORKPlease look at your child’s assignment book each

night to ensure they have finished all that has been assigned. Students should be completing a math study link most nights. They will also begin reading for 20 minutes and recording it on their reading log. Parents will be required to sign it each night. Word work homework will begin shortly as well.
