Tuesday- pgs. 176-177,180-TTW guide TS to identify the text features and write the information from the text feature as well as defining the text feature by completing a graphic organizer. TSW write the answer to a short response question.
Wednesday- pgs. 178-179, 181-TTW guide the students to identify the text features of a story. TSW use the text features to answer multiple choice questions and write the answer to a short response question.
Thursday – pgs.182-187-TSW independently read a story with text features to answer questions about the text. Friday-ELA and Math Assessments given

We will cover the following from the Ready Writing Book :
Monday- pgs. 81-TSW draft the end of their opinion paragraph, support the opinion with reasons, and restate the opinion in different words. TSW continue to transfer their beginning, middle and ending of their paragraph to lined paper.
Thursday – TSW check the organization of an opinion paragraph to revise it and use a checklist with peer review to revise. TTW help with this process to get them ready to write their final paragraph.

We will be covering the following pages in the Math Ready Common Core Book Lesson 12.
Opening activity – Materials: white boards and dry erase pens, activity sheet 6 (place-value mat). TTW write two numbers on the board. TSW write the numbers on their white boards and use the correct symbol – greater than, less than, or equal.
Monday – pgs. 116-117 TSW use what they know about place value to interpret and compare two numbers. They will compare numbers by starting with the greatest place value. Then they will examine the equality on inequality symbols used to write number sentences.
Tuesday – pgs. 118-119 TSW examine a three-digit number by using a model and expanded form. TSW write a number sentence to compare two numbers with the same hundreds digit.
Wednesday – pg. 120-121 TSW examine models of three-digit numbers in which the hundreds and tens are equal. TSW evaluate the number of hundreds, tens, and ones and write number sentences comparing two numbers.Thursday – pg. 122-123 TSW solve problems involving the comparison of three-digit numbers. TSW play Dinosaur War– Directions in the box.
Friday – Formal assessment will be given from Pgs. 124-125, Quiz from the Ready Common Core Book and Extra problems from previous chapter.
Center 1 Teacher Center - Remediation/skill building center. Materials – Comparing Numbers and Less Than or Greater Than work packet. TSW work in pairs to complete the work packet. They will use Allie the Alligator to determine the larger number to place the correct symbol in the blanks.
Center 2 Student Lead Activities – TSW work in pairs to solve a list of comparison number cards. TSW use the Dinosaurs War activity – all cards placed face down, they will pull one card and their partner will pull will card. They will decide if player one is greater than, less than, or equal.
Center 3 Computer Center – Iready Math or ST Math Center 4 Visual Model: TSW work in pairs to complete Teddy Bear Numbers.
TSW take turns pulling a Teddy Bear card and determine which of the number is larger and place the correct symbol in the blank. TSW record their answers on the answer sheets.
