Burns Supper

We are excited about beginning to plan and prepare for our Burns Supper in January! We will be learning all about Robert Burns and reciting some of his most famous work.

School Camp

It’s the highlight of P7! We will be having a meeting to discuss our upcoming trip in February to Lendrick Muir school camp. At the meeting we can discuss any questions or concerns you have. An email/letter/tweet will be sent your way in January!

During the first week of term, the P7 pupils created a Class Charter. We

discussed the importance of children having rights and thought about how we are each responsible for ensuring those

rights. In groups, we then worked together to create rules and expectations which we think are important for a happy and productive classroom. Here they are!

We will make sure that we use positive language and make positive choices when we feel angry or upset. We will

think about our resilience strategies to help us!

We need to use our growth mindset strategies to help us to challenge

Lego Competition

Sone of the P7s were lucky enough to be given the opportunity to participate in the biggest STEM competition in the world run by LEO and Napier Uni and I am delighted to say they came 4th out of 14 schools- well done guys!

MILITARY MUSEUM TRIP

The P7s had a fantastic day out at the Military Museum in Wilkieston where they got to look at some incredible exhibits and handle some weapons. They were also given a tour of a trench Ian made based on the trenches used in the war. It was a fantastic trip and well worth a visit if you fancy it!

Play for Peace Concert

Three of our P7 girls were selected to read WW1 poems at a special Remembrance Day Concert at Napier University. They read beautifully in front of

Sighthill Primary School
