PART 3 EXECUTION

3.1 EXAMINATION

A. Because of the large dimensions involved and the weight and movement of the panels, verify the structural integrity of the header such that the maximum deflection with both the live and dead loads is limited to be the lesser of L/720 of the span and 1/4 in (6 mm).

B. Examine surfaces of openings and verify dimensions. Verify rough openings are level, plumb, and square, with no unevenness, bowing, or bumps on floor. Do not begin installation until openings have been properly prepared.

3.2 PREPARATION

A. Prepare openings using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.

3.3 INSTALLATION

A. Install frame in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and installation instructions. Properly flash and waterproof around the perimeter of the opening.

B. Finishing: Field finish under Section 09900 - Painting; seal and finish promptly after installation and prior to exposure to weather in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.

C. Accessories: Screens; install in accordance with screen manufacturer's recommendations and installation instructions.

3.4 PROTECTION

A. Protect installed products until completion of project.
