ADULT CONNECTION GROUP ANNOUNCEMENTS: Opportunities to GROW together are presented through the Connection Groups, where we study God’s word and grow in fellowship. Connection Groups meet each Sunday morning at 9:30 AM and 11 AM.
CONNECTION CAFÉ: We will have donuts and coffee available each Sunday morning in the Worship Center Foyer between Worship services.
WEDNESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY: Meets each Wednesday morning at 11:00AM. This study is led by Richard Harbison and is studying the book of Psalms. A potluck lunch will follow.

KIDS DAY OUT: It is time for pre-registration. If you are interested in enrolling your child in the Kids’s Day Out program for the 2013-2014 year please contact Gayle Burgett. (548-2127 or gayle @firstshallowater.org) We meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We will begin on September 3rd.
KIDZVILLE is for children ages Nursery to 6th Grade
KIDZ CHURCH : Kidz Church available for children 1st-4th grade during the 9:30 AM service.
WEDNESDAY EVENING SCHEDULE: 6:30 PM Meal 7:00 PM Class Begins
HNL Ministries is for 7th-12th grade Students
CONNECTION GROUPS: Meet each Sunday morning at 11:00 AM upstairs.

ENCOUNTER UMIN is for young adults 18-24 years old
UNIVERSITY MINISTRY CONNECTION GROUP: Meets each Sunday morning at 11 AM at Encounter.
The Living Room Sessions: This is a college worship service that takes place Tuesday nights at 8PM in the Worship Center.
ENCORE MINISTRY is for Adults 55 years and older
WEST TEXAS ADULT DAY CAMP: This is a one day camp for adults ages 55 and up at Plains Baptist Assembly on Saturday October 4th from 9:00AM to 3:30PM. There will be a message by D.L. Lowrie and music by Happy Union Choir. There will be 6 different conferences to choose from for you to attend, during the day, and lunch will be served. The cost for the day’s activities and meal is $15.00. The church will provide transportation to and from the camp. Please sign up in Connection Groups or call the church office at 832-4511 to sign up.
ENCORE FIRST MONDAY: Our next First Monday meeting is on October 6th at 10:30AM in the ROC at First Baptist Church Shallowater. Alice Lowrie, well-known speaker and wife of Dr. D.L. Lowrie, (long time pastor of FBC, Lubbock) will be our speaker. The program is free. Meal tickets can be purchased for $7.00 in the church office or in your Connection groups. Please purchase your meal tickets or call the church office (832-4511) to reserve your meal by October 1st.
You must realize that God loves you but you are separated from God by a sinful nature.
Roman 3:23 “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
You must believe that God sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ as a payment for sin.
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Although humanity through sin has separated itself from God, the sacrifice of Jesus, on the cross, bridged that gap.
Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Jesus Christ died for us.”
All that God asks is that you repent (turn away) from your sins and accept the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made on the cross for those sins.
Romans 10:9 “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

How to Join the Church! If you would like to join our church, please fill out the card below. You can make your commitment by coming forward during the song of commitment after the sermon and visiting with one of our pastors or by placing the card in the offering plate and one of our pastors will contact you. You can become a member in the following ways: 1. By accepting Jesus Christ in your heart as your personal Lord and Savior and being obedient to the Lord’s command to be Biblically baptized. Biblical baptism is a profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and is by immersion in order to symbolize the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord. 2. By letter of recommendation from a church of like faith and order. 3. By statement that you are a believer in Jesus Christ and have placed your faith in Him as Savior and Lord and have been obedient to a Biblical baptism.
