JOSH WILSON CHRISTMAS CONCERT DECEMBER 23RD: We are pleased to announce that Josh Wilson will be in concert at First Baptist Church Shallowater on Monday, December 23rd at 7 PM. We are now selling tickets for this concert in the church office please contact the office at 832-4511 to reserve your tickets. General admission is $10.00 and V.I.P. admission is $25.00. V.I.P. admission includes a meal with Josh Wilson and up front seating. Get your tickets early they will not last long.

KIDS DAY OUT: It is time for pre-registration. If you are interested in enrolling your child in the Kids’s Day Out program for the 2013-2014 year please contact Gayle Burgett. (548-2127 or gayle @firstshallowater.org) We meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We will begin on September 3rd.  

KIDZ CHURCH : Please note that we will not have Kidz Church on Sunday, December 1st.

JUST A REMINDER: We will not have children’s activities on November 27th.

CONNECTION GROUPS: Meet each Sunday morning at 10:30 AM upstairs.

ENCORE FIRST MONDAY: Our next Encore First Monday is December 2nd at 10:30am. The program will be lead by Robin Henson, director of the Moonlight Musicals, and she will have some of the singers from her music program come and sing for us. The meal is catered by Big Robb and will be several homemade soups and sandwiches with dessert and tea. Please contact us at 832-4511 for a reservation for the meal by November 29th. The cost for the meal is $5.00. The program is free to all. The people mover will be in the Encounter parking lot at 10:00 AM for those individuals who would like a ride to First Monday.  

   

You must realize that God loves you but you are separated from God by a sinful nature.

Roman 3:23 “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

You must believe that God sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ as a payment for sin.

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Although humanity through sin has separated itself from God, the sacrifice of Jesus, on the cross, bridged that gap.

Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Jesus Christ died for us.”

All that God asks is that you repent (turn away) from your sins and accept the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made on the cross for those sins.

Romans 10:9 “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

How to Join the Church!  If you would like to join our church, please fill out the card below. You can make your commitment by coming forward during the song of commitment after the sermon and visiting with one of our pastors or by placing the card in the offering plate and one of our pastors will contact you. You can become a member in the following ways: 1.  By accepting Jesus Christ in your heart as your personal Lord and Savior and being obedient to the Lord’s command to be Biblically baptized. Biblical baptism is a profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and is by immersion in order to symbolize the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord. 2.  By letter of recommendation from a church of like faith and order. 3.  By statement that you are a believer in Jesus Christ and have placed your faith in Him as Savior and Lord and have been obedient to a Biblical baptism.
