Mission Statement

St. Margaret is a diverse Christian community centered on the Eucharist which makes present in our midst the mystery of our redemption in Christ. Here, we grow in faith and love for God and one another. Our lives proclaim the words of St. Paul: “You are strangers and aliens no longer. You are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God”. (Eph 2:19) You are welcome to journey with us. Together with our Blessed Mother, we give ourselves to do God’s will on earth as it is in Heaven.

-Does the symbolism of the grain of wheat make me think about how I live my existence? -How do I behave before the crosses of suffering and abandonment that so many people live today?-Are you serving the Lord today in your brothers and sisters? -What in you must die before you see life?

Thanks for preparing for next Sunday’s liturgy.

I see you had nice weather this week. Hopefully, it will continue to get

better and winter will stay behind. I know how many people are not too

happy with the cold weather, but, if you didn’t know, it keeps you young and healthy. I can imagine people saying right now, “I’d rather get old and wrinkly than have to put up with this kind of cold and unbearable weather”. I know the master, along with the pastoral team, is working and planning for Holy Week. This is not a very easy task because of Covid-19 protocols and regulations, but I am sure they will do their best; just get ready to be on time if you want to enter

the Church because they can only have a limited amount of people in church and those who can’t be accommodated, will have to go to the church hall; and then to the gym if there are too many people there as well. They mention having big screens in the church hall and also in the school gym to broadcast the Mass. I guess you’re going to have to cooperate with them since they would love to have everyone in Church but it would be impossible. This is why you need to continue to protect yourself and pray that the virus will go away. I’m just giving you a heads up because you need to get ready for that important week of the year in your Christian life. Ciao, Woof, Woof.

OUR PRAYER TO ST. JOSEPH

O St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so

strong, so prompt before the throne of God, I place in you all my interest and desires.

O St. Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession, and obtain for me from your

divine Son all spiritual blessings, through Jesus Christ, our Lord, so that

having engaged here below your heavenly power, I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of fathers. FEAST OF SAINT JOSEPHThis coming Friday, March 19 we will celebrate the feast of Saint Joseph. We will have Mass at

8:00 A.M., 12:00 Noon and 6:00 P.M. in English and 7:30 P.M. in Spanish. During the 6:00 and

7:30 P.M. Masses, we are going to have the consecration to St. Joseph for those who have been

preparing for this great consecration for the 33 days. It should be a great day for all of us since this

year has been dedicated to St. Joseph. We hope you can join us at this significant celebration.

WELCOME HOME TO HEALING Attention! Attention! Here in our Church every Monday evening at 7:00 P.M. our priests are

waiting for you to Come Home to Healing; to come and celebrate the sacrament of

reconciliation. This is a special time andopportunity to prepare for Easter but also to

look into our own lives and see what needs to be changed and how we can truly grow in

holiness of life. Many people haven’t been to confession in a while and still are receiving Holy Communion. We do sin and commit actions against the commandments of God and these are the things that we need to be absolved from in order to continue to receive Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. He deserves a pure heart and soul. We are just trying to invite you to continue your

journey to holiness of life. Remember every Monday from 7:00—8:30 P.M.

FLOWERS FOR EASTEREvery year we do an excellent job in decorating the Church for the Easter celebrations; this year will be no different. We want to invite you to consider donating for the flowers on the altar, in memory of your loved ones. A donation to the Church will help us to defray the cost of

the flowers that every year, get more and more expensive. You are welcomed to put your

donation in an envelope and write the name of your loved ones on it so they can be memorialized in our bulletin during

the second Sunday of Easter. Thank you for your generosity and your kindness.

MASS DURING LENT We are happy that more people are coming to

our noon Mass every day. This is a great opportunity to really make a good and

productive lent. The idea with the daily Mass is to grow more in our love with the Eucharist and also to be strengthened in our relationship with God by the Holy Communion we receive as well as the Word we hear from God during the Mass. We encourage everyone to join us at least once during the week besides the Sunday Mass. Remember the mass is at 8:00 A.M. and 12:00 P.M. in English and 7:00 P.M. in Spanish.

All teenagers are invited to the Youth meeting this Sunday at 6:00 P.M. in the Church hall. I hear that the last meeting

was truly a success and therefore we encourage all youth from high school to come and participate. There’s no pizza this time but instead some really good pasta along with something else, it is

a surprise though. So please come and join us as we have lots of fun.

Carmelite sisters with some much needed repairs in their monastery. Some

parishioners are offering the labor at no cost, but we still need to pay for the

materials. The estimated cost for materials is $14,000.00, but to date we only have $4,500.00. We implore your

help. Whatever you give them will turn into prayers for you, and your loved ones, that

the sisters will offer to the Lord.

Memorias de TonyVeo que tuvieron buen tiempo esta semana. Con suerte, seguirá

mejorando y el invierno se quedará atrás para todos. Sé cuántas personas

no están muy contentas con el frío, pero, si no lo sabías, te mantiene joven y saludable. Me imagino a la gente diciendo en este momento, “Prefiero estar viejo y arrugado que tener que lidiar con este frío insoportable”. Sé que mi amo, junto con el equipo pastoral, está trabajando y planificando el horario de la Semana Santa. Esta no es una tarea muy fácil debido a las regulaciones y protocolos del Covid-19, pero estoy seguro de que harán lo mejor posible; sólo prepárate para llegar a tiempo si quieres entrar a la Iglesia

porque sólo podran tener una cantidad limitada de personas y aquellos que no pueden ser acomodadas en la Iglesia tendrán que ir al salón/sótano de la iglesia; y luego al gimnasio si hay mucha gente. Han mencionado tener grandes pantallas en el salón de la iglesia y también en el gimnasio de la escuela para transmitir la misa. Supongo que vas a tener que cooperar con ellos ya que les encantaría tener a todos en la Iglesia, pero seria imposible. Esta es la razón por la que necesita seguir protegiéndose y orar para que el virus desaparezca. Sólo te estoy dando un aviso porque necesitas prepararte para esa semana importante del año y en tu vida cristiana. Ciao, Woof, Woof.

REPARACIONES PARA EL MONASTERIO CARMELITA

Seguimos en el proceso de hacer algunas reparaciones en el Monasterio Carmelita y

Todos los jóvenes de la escuela superior/high school son invitados a la reunión de este

BIENVENIDO A CASA A LA SANACIÓN¡Atención! ¡Atención! Aquí en nuestra Iglesia todos los lunes por la noche, a las 7:00 P.M., nuestros sacerdotes esperan a que regresen a

casa para sanar; para venir a celebrar el sacramento de la reconciliación. Este es un momento y una oportunidad especial para

prepararnos para la Pascua, pero también para mirar a nuestras propias vidas y ver lo que

hay que cambiar y cómo podemos realmente crecer en santidad. Muchas personas no se han

confesado en mucho tiempo y todavía están recibiendo la Santa Comunión. Pecamos y

cometemos acciones contra los mandamientos de Dios y estas son las cosas de las que

debemos ser absueltos para seguir recibiendo a Jesús en la Santa Eucaristía. El merece un

corazón y alma puro. Sólo estamos tratando de invitarlos a continuar su viaje a la santidad de

AYUNO Y ABSTI-

NENCIAEstas son parte de nuestras disciplinas para la

Cuaresma. Como católicos, si tenemos la edad adecuada, debemos ayunar el Miércoles de Ceniza y todos los viernes de Cuaresma. Esto significa que debemos tener una sola

comida ligera durante el día. Nuestra absti-nencia es no comer carne el Miércoles de Ceniza, el Viernes Santo y todos los viernes de Cuaresma. Esta disciplina es una que nos ayuda a entender el hambre que debemos tener por Dios, pero también

nos ayuda a ser solidarios con los hambrientos del mundo. Tal vez

MISA DURANTE LA CUARESMAEstamos felices de que más personas estén

viniendo a nuestra misa del mediodía todos los días. Esta es una gran oportunidad para hacer realmente una buena y productiva cuaresma. La idea con la Misa diaria es crecer más en

nuestro amor por la Eucaristía y también fortalecernos en nuestra relación con Dios por la Santa Comunión que recibimos, así como

la Palabra que escuchamos de Dios durante la misa. Animamos a todos a unirse a nosotros al menos una vez durante la semana, además de la Misa dominical. Recuerde que la Misa es a

FLORES PARA LA PASCUACada año hacemos un excelente trabajo

decorando la Iglesia para las celebraciones de Pascua; este año no será diferente. Queremos invitarlos a considerar una donación por las flores en el altar, en memoria de sus seres

queridos. Una donación a la Iglesia ayudará con el costo de las flores que cada año

incrementa mas y mas. Pueden poner su donación en un sobre y escribir el nombre de

sus seres queridos para que sean conmemorados en nuestro boletín durante el

segundo domingo de Pascua. Gracias por su generosidad

FIESTA DE SAN JOSÉEste próximo viernes 19 de marzo, celebraremos la fiesta de San José.

Tendremos Misa a las 8:00 A.M., 12:00 del mediodía y 6:00 P.M. en inglés y 7:30 P.M. en español. Durante las misas de las

6:00 y 7:30 P.M, vamos a tener la consagración a San José, para aquellos que

se han estado preparando para esta gran consagración durante los 33 días. Debería ser un gran día para todos nosotros, ya que

este año ha sido dedicado a San José. Esperamos que pueda unirse a nosotros en

esta celebración significativa.

Oh San José, cuya protección es tan

grande, tan fuerte y tan inmediata ante el trono
