SituationWaterside Farm enjoys a spectacular and private setting
overlooking the Balgray Reservior. The farm is given
total privacy by 18 acres of its own grounds and policies.
Whilst occupying such a private setting, Glasgow City
Centre, which is the commercial heart of Scotland, lies
only 10 miles away with access directly into the city centre
via the M77 motorway which can be reached in just a few
minutes. The city has all the cultural, higher educational

international centre. Silverburn shopping centre is close
by and includes a multiscreen cinema complex whilst
Waitrose and Asda supermarkets are only a few minutes
away.
Glasgow Airport is within easy reach, about 10 miles to
the north and from where there are numerous domestic
and international routes. The local train station in Patterton
(2.5 miles) is only 20 minutes from central Glasgow.
The surrounding Countryside offers a range of leisure and
recreational opportunities including golf with more than
10 courses within a 10 mile radius. The championship
course at Royal Troon is only 25 miles south and the world
famous Turnberry Golf Courses 43 miles away. Sailing
is available at Inverkip and Troon marinas located on the
edge of the Firth of Clyde. Ayr is only 30 minuets south
and provides all year round horse racing, including the
Scottish Grand national.
DirectionsFrom Glasgow take the M77 and exit at junction 4. Go
straight across the first roundabout and then turn right
at the next onto Stewarton Road heading south. At the
next roundabout bear right and shortly after passing
Whitecraig Rugby Club turn left at the traffic lights.
After 250m turn right onto Fingalton Road and then
after a further 250m bear right onto the drive leading to
Waterside Farm.
DescriptionWaterside Farm is arguably one of the finest new houses
in south west Scotland. It is an exceptional example
of a modern country house finished to an outstanding
standard, with a beautiful 18th Century style façade.
It was constructed in 1996/7, utilising the footprint of
the original 18th century farmhouse and farm steading
buildings.
Waterside Farm is accessed by way of a private tarmac
drive which leads to a parking area close to the front door.
The house provides extensive accommodation arranged
over ground and first floors and is ideal for modern
family living. The property faces south with views over
the surrounding farmland, Balgray Reservoir and across
Glasgow towards Ben Lomond.
On the ground floor, the entrance hall, which has a cloakroom
off, opens into the main reception hall which doubles as a
fabulous dining room with a 24 place dining table. From here
double doors lead into the main drawing room which has
exposed beams and a large stone fireplace and again double
doors open into the library. The heart of this wonderful family
