Google ClassroomToday all sta and classes participated in professional learning using ‘Google Classroom’, which
is being used in all classes. This will enhance current classroom teaching and learning at school
as well as provide a consistent platform should remote learning become available in the future.
School Operations- AttendanceConsistent with the latest advice provided by the Department of Education, all public schools will
continue to remain open with teaching and learning available for students. Precautionary
measures continue to be in place across our school to minimise risk to students and promote
eective hygiene practices. This is regularly monitored and reviewed.
Students who should not attend school include students who have:
any cold or u-like symptoms or are unwell;
arrived from any overseas destination since 15th March, 2020;
been in or transited through China since 29th February, 2020;
been in or transited though Iran since 1st March, 2020;
been in or transited through the Republic of Korea (South Korea) since 5th March, 2020;
been in or transited through Italy since 11th March, 2020;
been tested for or been diagnosed with the COVID-19 Virus; or
had contact with a conrmed case of COVID-19.
In line with current advice from the Department of Education:
There is no reason why students who are not excluded from school should not be attending
school. Normal attendance procedures apply.
Our school will provide learning materials to any student who is unable to attend school due to
mandatory self-isolation. Where students are unwell, there is no expectation that they should
complete school work.
School Operations- Before School and DuringLunch & Recess BreaksConsistent with current advice to reduce student numbers and promote greater social distancing,
we are implementing the following from tomorrow for the remainder of Term 1:
Students proceed directly to classrooms upon arrival in the morning (wet weather
arrangements).
Students encouraged to arrive as close to 9:30am as possible.
Visitors are asked to farewell students in the Family Meeting Areas wherever possible
Additional Eating Areas for lunch and recess to reduce numbers of students in each group.
Additional playground areas available for students to use during both lunch and recess times.
Promoting Good Hygiene HabitsAdditional soap dispensers are located around our school near all teaching and learning areas •
Posters promoting eective handwashing techniques displayed near all sinks & toilet facilities
Enhanced cleaning practices in all areas around our school;
Hand sanitiser available in our foyer for the convenience of visitors upon their arrival.
Age-appropriate lessons continue to be oered to students on general hygiene and
handwashing skills, consistent with the PD/H/PE syllabus.
Thank you for your understanding as we all work together at this time.
Yours sincerely,
P.Miller
Principal
