1.1 Work for Geotechnical investigation at different location of Anji Bridge has been

awarded on 25/09/2017 to M/s AIMIL Ltd.

1.2 3rd Apex committee meeting with Chief Secretary J&K was held at Srinagar on

07/09/2017 regarding issues of USBRL Project.

1.3 During this month 1185 m of tunneling (MT+ET) and cumulative progress of 6730m

in this financial year has been completed.

2.8.1 The work for “Risk & Cost tender for T-48 has been awarded on 30.08.2017 to

M/s Gammon Engineer & Contracts Pvt. Ltd at a total cost of Rs. 1170.32 Cr.

2.8.2 Work for providing Consultant services for preparing GADs, Detailed Design

& drawings for bridge No. 2,3,4 & 5, Arpinchala Station Yard & Sumber

Station yard has been awarded on 22.08.2017 to M/s Lombardi Engineering

Ltd at a total cost of Rs. 4.51 Cr.

2.8.3 The work for strengthening and upgrading of access road from Harog – megdhar

-Kohli- Sumber has been awarded to M/s TRG Industries Pvt. Ltd. on 24.05.2017

for a total cost of 33.69 Cr. and work is in progress.

2.8.4 The work for improvement of Approach road from Kantha More -Dharam (8

Km) has been awarded to M/s SRM Contractor Pvt. Ltd and work is in progress.

2.8.5 Improvement of Approach road from National Highway - Hingni Adit (3 Km)

and NH Kundan-Arpinchala will be carried out as Deposit work through state

PWD and the work is likely to be started shortly.

2.8.6 Work of balance road “Barala to Ind-Tatsun Nala awarded on 31.07.2017 to M/s

ECI Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd. at a total cost of Rs. 29.82 Cr.

2.8.7 The work for strengthening and improvement to the existing approach road from

Sangaldan to Barala for T-15 has been awarded to M/s SRM Contractor Pvt.

Ltd.. on 29.05.2017 for a total cost of 15.33 Cr.

2.8.8 LOA issued in favour of M/s Sarika Enterprises on dated 31/07/2017 for

installation of Solar Power Plant capacity 110 Kw at Sangaldan.

3. Katra-Banihal Section (Progress in Details)

3.1 For construction convenience and monitoring, this section has been divided into

following legs,

A. Katra – Banganga (km. 25 - 30): Executed by Northern Railway. The work is

in progress in full length. The progress of various items is Table-3.

B. Km. 30 - 100 (KRCL, except 33 to 39 and 61 to 91 as transferred to IRCON):

Progress of underground excavation for various tunnels being executed by

KRCL are shown in Table 1.

C. Km 100 – 136: Executed by M/s IRCON. Progress of underground excavation

for various tunnels being executed by IRCON are shown in Table 2.

3.2 Chenab Bridge, Br. No. 44 (KRCL)

Chenab Bridge has been divided in four parts for construction point of view, these

are

A. Construction of Arch Portion (S-10 to S-70)

B. Construction of Viaduct Portion (S-70 to S-180)

C. Slope Stabilization - Bakkal end and

D. Slope Stabilization - Kauri end

A. Progress on Arch Portion (S10 to S70) :

a. Design: Design of this portion of the bridge has been completed and proof checked

by Proof Consultant.

b. Progress of the Arch:

(i) Foundation: Concreting work of S50 & S70 are in progress.

(ii) Enabling work for erection of Arch: Cable crane 02 No’s fixed on Pylons

has been commissioned.

(iii) Workshop: Pier Fabrication workshop at Surundi , Arch fabrication workshop

at S-180, Wheels India, Wardha-Nagpur, Trestle workshop M/s AIML at

Rajpura & Arch superstructure deck workshop at Bakkal are functional.

iv) Progress on Viaduct Portion (S-70 to S-180):

a. Design: Design of all parts in this portion is approved and the drawings have been

issued.

b. Progress:

(i) Foundation Work: Foundations of S80 to S180 have been completed.

(ii) Substructure Work: Construction up to Pier Cap from Pier S-80 to Pier

S-170 has been completed.

(iii) Superstructure work: Deck of Viaduct consists of steel structures of 65

segments which involves approx. 4200 MT steel fabrication. Fabrication and

welding of segments from AS07 to AS65 and segment to segment connections

from AS07#AS08 to AS63#AS64 except AS33#AS34 & AS64#AS65 have been

completed.

B. Slope stabilization – Kauri end: In progress C. Slope stabilization - Bakkal end: In progress
