Personalized Agro Advisories – through eSagu – The Flagship Service

The Kiosk franchisee (JAFC) collects the Farm Status Data from the Farmer(soil data, water resources pest issues, seed variety, etc) . makes his own observation of the crop status and problems. Further he also takes four to five digital photographs of the problem areas for the crop. . All details and photographs are transmitted to the scientists at the Agri lab in Hyderabad. The scientists go through the inputs received, relate it to previous history and weather information and provide personalized advice for that crop and farmer thro the Kiosk or SMS.

e-Sagu is the project of International Institute for Information Technology (IIIT-H), Hyderabad. IIIT-H is the premier IT autonomous university and MediaLab Asia, Min. of IT, Govt. of India Janani Group is a private sector stakeholder in e-Sagu from inception and is deploying the same on a commercial platform
