LSA Officers The Locksmith Security Association of Michigan Wow was that a meal or what? The food for December’s Holiday Meeting sure was good. I hope all of you enjoyed it as much as I did. I had a good year last year and I hope that you did as well. I would like to start our first meeting of the new year off by thinking of some of the things we did, or perhaps did not do to make our business succeed last year. Also, what can we do this coming up year to improve our business? I am not sure how many years of experience we have all together in the lock- smith field, but I do know that there is a lot of LSA members that have 20 plus in the field. This coming January meeting is absolutely one you won’t want to miss. How awesome is it that we can get together some of the best there is in our trade and pick their brains and find out what works and what don’t. Basically, what do we need to do to make more money? We had a meeting ear- lier on what is not enough, or maybe, too much to charge. I am not sure if anybody actually changed their pricing structure or not, but if I at least got you to think about it, then I feel I have accomplished my goal. Again, this is not my LSA, this is our LSA. I would really like to see more than just the same four or so people participating. Please have some thoughts about what you might try this year that you have not tried in the past. Think about this before the meeting starts, write it down, and most impor- tantly plan on participating. I said it last month and I will say it again: When it comes to driving in bad weather, is making that extra $100.00 worth risking crashing your truck or losing your life? Please don’t take on a job where the risk of driving in bad weather is too high. Sorry, the Fire Fighter in me slips out every now and then. See you at our next meeting in January. Miscellaneous, but Important Information

Thank You. Thank You. The annual LSA Christmas Dinner was prepared and catered by Bev Blumke. See John Hubel if you need to contact her to cater any of your personal or company events. LaFontaine Cadillac, Buick, GMC, Highland & Fenton, funded the our entire festive occasion for the LSA.T hank you to Tim Hague, our LaFontaine liaison. Tim’s goal is to make vehicle purchasing and leasing painless, for our LSA members. Note the ad in the news-letter regarding the package offer LaFontaine has this month { at bottom of his page }. https://www.lafontainegm.com/ Products of The Month One of the great advantages to our LSA members is the tremendous amount of hands on introduction and in-struction on products we may cross in our daily schedules. Not only do we see the products, but learn how to deal with those products when we find them in the marketplace. This month will be no exception. An item which will draw attention this month will be the Supra Key Box. Rich Danforth will also show a tool that will prove very useful in bypassing the Adams Rite lock. Words of Wisdom for Each Other Sometimes we spend all our time solving the problems of our customers that we forget to solve our own busi-ness needs. It’s a new year and the opportunity for a fresh start to begin focusing on our OWN businesses; New Year’s resolutions for our own business, if you will. Do we have any? Come join us at the January LSA meeting and be part of a forum to discuss where we are, why we are in that position, where we’d like to be in 2019, and how to achieve those goals. This meeting could redefine your business. It may give you that oppor-tunity to make an impact in your community that you have only dreamed about previously. Don’t miss this op-portunity. It will cost you nothing. Blue Dog Keys Blue Dog, offers all the keyblanks listed in the ILCO catalog, but they are best known for their specialization in the hard-to-find keyblanks. Do not hesitate to call Blue Dog Keys when you have need of that special key. Blue Dog Keys, Framon, Genericode, and the entire Agius family have been members of the LSA for many years. They have been a complete manufacturer and supplier for code machines, duplicators, hard-to-find-blanks, and code programs. Oh, and did we say, Made in Michigan!! (Sorry to all our readers outside of Michi-gan, but let us have our “Michigan thing”.) https://www.bluedogkeys.com/ As Time Permits Feel free to bring in YOUR dilemma products and issues. When you enter a room full of professionals, one quickly gets answers to problems often overlooked or didn’t have the original knowledge base to resolve. LSA members are always learning, unless they are helping others find the answers. www.LSAmichigan.org LaFontaine The words that often follow this caption is “The Family Deal”. LaFon-taine strives to address the entire family’s transportation needs. Tim Hague, our Fleet vehicle liaison, has indicated he has the authoriza-tion to put together a His & Her Lease Deal for a really low monthly price. You can combine a work van/truck for “him”, with a luxury ve-hicle (Cadillac or Buick) for “her”, complete at a super low price. For more information, you can meet with Tim Hague at any one of the LSA meetings or you can call Tim directly at 248-224-7174. Tim has said will personally handle all the details. You will not be disap-pointed. https://www.lafontainegm.com/

include: Ray Sinai, Theo Schultz, Dan Meggison, Nick Palise, Tom Lewis and William Lynk, as well as

the notable Billy B. Edwards, Casey Camper and inventor John Ulaszek.
