Our Grief Share Ministry has benefited many

people who have lost a loved one by death.

When death comes, be it a spouse, a child,

brother or sister, parent, grandparent, close

relative or friend, it is good to know St. Mark's

offers this ministry. We are now in our third

cycle (each cycle being 13 weeks). Each session

has three components: a professionally made

video, a workbook, and group discussion. Grief

Share meets every Monday morning, 10:30 am

to noon, in Room 12. No need to sign up! Just

come! Questions? Check with Quilla Cartee,

Pam Court, or Pastor Ernest.

GriefShare Are you a single parent? Are there times when you

would benefit from knowing how others handle

uneasy parental situations? Perhaps you would ap-

preciate some professional guidelines in parenting.

If so, The Church Initiative, Inc., has developed an

excellent nationally recognized 13 week single-

parent ministry course for local churches. Each ses-

sion consists of a video, workbook, and group dis-

cussion. Meredith, our Director of Children's Minis-

tries, and Pastor Ernest are teaming up to offer

"Single & Parenting" during the 10:30 am Sunday

School hour, in Room 12, beginning September 8th.

While we meet, the children will be in their regular

Sunday School class or Nursery. Interested? Please

let Meredith or Ernest know, or indicate "Single &

Parenting" on the Sunday Information Form and

place in the offering plate.

Single Parent?

cial assistance. We pour out our thanks with

our whole heart and pray that God will

strengthen our sister (fraternal) relationship &

covenant. Greetings & hugs to everyone in the

church from The New Jerusalem Methodist

Church. May God continue to bless you.

Many have taken advantage of Disciple 1,

2, 3, and 4. Now, "Second Generation Disciple" has

sprung up and there are those who want to dig into

that bible study. The theme of the course is "Jesus

In the Gospels," with the goal of getting to know

more about Jesus. The sessions will be 2 1/2 hours

long and require daily bible study in preparation for

the group meetings on Mondays, 6:30 to 9:00 pm in

individual homes or Tuesday mornings at church,

Room 12, 9:30 to 12 noon. A pre-request is Disciple

1 or a good understanding of the bible. If you have

questions, see or call Pastor Ernest at 777-0645. The

cost for the study manual and supplemental mate-

rials is $49.00.
