DEFINITION

A common form of slide projector

ADVANTAGE

1. The carousel tray held slides with locking ring to

prevent slides spilling out if it was dropped.

2. Circular tray enabled the projector to display

automated.

3. The chance of jamming was reduced by using gravity

to lower the slide into projector.

CAMERA KIT

DEFINITION

• A boxlike device for holding a film

•Having an aperture control

•When opened, admits light enabling an object to be

focused.

• Its produced in late 1960

OVERHEAD PROJECTOR

(OHP)

DEFINITION

Variant of slide projector that is used to display images to an audience.

Known as OHP

HISTORY OF THE OVERHEAD PROJECTOR

Classroom use of OHPs was initially slow

OHP had become ‘in’ presentation technology

1980 AND 1990

Gradually rising

ADVANTAGES

• Simple to operate

• Retain notes and images for future use

•Maintain eye contact all the times with student

DISADVANTAGES

Expensive

Use was limited

POSSIBLE WEAKNESSES

• Inclined in the correct angle

• Require small amount of maintenance

• Need power supply & a white flat surface

• Do not provide enough thought to production of display

material
