How it WorksOur Virtual Mentoring Program allows you to work with experts to master the technologies you’re working with. Virtual Mentoring sessions can be designed to fit any schedule and budget. You have the ability to purchase a block of time then schedule mentoring sessions as you need them. Sessions can be anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours long.

Pragmatic Works Virtual Mentoring Program allows you to virtually work one-on-one with one of our Business Intelligence or DBA experts. They can assist you in working through any problems or project hurdles you may have.

BI Virtual Mentoring:Our BI mentoring team has deep understanding of the BI stack technologies (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI, Tabular Models and Performance Point). They teach classes on the technologies, but also regularly use the BI stack to develop real-world BI solutions and Data Warehouses. They solve the same problems you are facing in the real world. Our experts can:

• Train you on the technology stack for BI and Data Warehousing• Help you solve issues that arise with your BI/Data Warehouse projects• Provide guidance on your BI projects

DBA Virtual Mentoring:Our DBA mentoring team has deep understanding of SQL Server technologies. They teach classes on the technologies, but also regularly use SQL Server in real-world scenarios supporting relational, OLTP, Data Warehouse, Reporting and BI solutions. They solve the same problems you are facing in the real world. Our experts can:

• Train you on SQL Server technologies• Help you solve issues that arise with SQL Server• Provide guidance on your SQL Server project

• Requests for mentoring sessions must be made by sending an email to Mentor@pragmaticworks.com. In your email, please

indicate if you need a DBA Mentor or a BI Mentor, and include a description of the subject matter topics to be addressed so

we can assign the appropriate mentor.

• Once a request is received, a mentor will respond within 8 business hours to schedule the mentoring session.

• At the conclusion of each session your mentor will log the time used into your VM account and you will receive an email

showing the account’s status and remaining time balance.

• Sessions are scheduled for a maximum duration of 2 hours

• Virtual Mentoring is provided by a team of SQL BI/DBA specialists. There is no guarantee that the same person will be

available for each of your sessions.

• An individual can only schedule 1 session per day.

• Virtual Mentoring is “Prepaid” service. Your first session cannot be scheduled until payment has been received.

• In some cases you may request your mentor to work on an issue offline for you. In this case you must communicate the

maximum amount of time (s)he should spend. The actual time spent will bededucted from your virtual mentor account but

will not exceed the maximum you stipulate.

• Virtual Mentor hours will expire if unused after 12 months

• Please note that our VM Service does NOT cover non-BI SharePoint topics such as Administration, Work Flows, Content

Management, Kerberos, etc..
